I bought a Geneva watch from overstock.com. No instructions.

The watch has three inset dials, one for the day of hte week, one for the hour (night or day time), and one for the day of the month. I cannot figure out how to set the three dials (see the photo). Can you help?

Try pulling the stem out. Turn the stem in the counter clock wise direction and see if that changes the date/day

Setting the day on an Orvis Quartz chronograph watch

Check out the videos and articles. With my Seiko, you pull the crown to the first position and pushing the side buttons closest to the dial, advances with each press.

How do I set the DAY of the week on my new watch, Akribos XXIV Women's AK560RD Quartz Multi-Function Genuine Leather Watch ?

There are three positions for the crown. You can pull it out all the way to third position and turn up or down Each of those turn one sub-dial. then you can push back one position and again up or down. Each of those turn another sub-dial hand.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not set the date or time between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. to avoid damage to your Geneva watch. The gears sit too close together during these times.
  • If your Geneva watch becomes wet, wipe it dry as soon as possible. Keep your watch away from saunas and hot tubs, as the extreme heat diminishes the watch's water resistance.

How do I set a Danbury pocket watch with date display

If it is this pocket watch, then the crown (the bit you turn to wind the watch) has 3 positions. Position 1 is when the crown is pushed in all the way. Position 3 is when the crown is pulled out as far as it will go. In between position 1 and position 3 is a place where the crown will stop, this is position 2.
To set the day of the week, pull the crown out to position 3 to set the time. When you set the time, the bottom dial with also turn to set the hour on the 24 hour clock, if you turn the crown enough to cycle through a whole day the day of the week dial will also turn. Keep turning the crown until the time is set on the proper day of the week.
To set the date, pull the crown out to position 2, and turn it clockwise until the hand on the date dial points to the correct date.
Hope this helps!

How do i set my Geneva Japan Movt 257 Watch?

You pop the 'crown' out (dial) then turn it till correct time, then push it back in. It's on E-how, depending on the type of watch, or how many dials it has, the directions may change.

Just bought a Fossil FS4446 sports chrono but it looks like the hour on the chrono is stuck just after 19 on the small dial on the right i just want to check that this is indeed the hour dial. and if it...

The small dial on the right is 24 hour counter and it does one full circle in 24 hours. The purpose of this counter is to tell the wearer what part of day or night is exactly (p.m. or a.m.). There are some places on our planet where the night/day lasts for months and it would be difficult to realise it's morning or evening without 24 hour counter. Try to advance watch hands forward/backward for few hours and you will see this counter hand moving. If it does not move, your watch has faulty/broken wheel and needs to be sent back for replacement/repairs.
