Soft hum when tv is first turned on, becomes loud whine or hiss sound. Doesn't always happen, though.I have a 19PFL5422D/27 PHILIPS TV. When I turn it on a loud terrible sound appears..Do you how can I solvei it? Thanks.
Check the 4 1000uF X10V capacitors on the main board ( under the shield) . I fixed my TV by replacing them. I had the loud hissign noise and the TV would shut down.
Even if you unplug the TV many times or play with the cord, the issue would not be resolved. One of the experts hit the target by informing you regarding the circuit board.
There are different IC and compnent on the circuit board that maintains the health of a Tv. You need to sort out the board. If you are not technically accurate, i would not advise you to open the Tv at home and try to repair that. A small error by you can lead you to many bucks.
However, if you would be able to ddo it yourself, kindly let me know so that i would be able to tell you regarding the IC's that we might test.
Unplug every exterwire connected at the back of the tv.also unplug the tv power cord wire for couple of hours.then again insert it and check out.insert only the tv power cord wire not all the other device wires to the back of the tv.as this can be the noise of any other device connected to the tv.or the internal failure in the tv main board first confirm it by unplugging it for couple of hours and replugging it.
Its the problem of main board as the circuit is getting short in between on the main board.get it repaired first do not on the tv till that.it will damage whole board.
get it repaired.

Check the speaker/s. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. OK, I had the same problem and I fix it 100%. The power board is ok, the lamps are ok, don't waste time there. Just open the TV, remove the shield of the mainboard, and in the side where are the wires from the power board, there are many capacitors, check them, in my case 4 were "fat", exploded. I had to change 9 to make shure, and that's all !!!
The issue is 4 1000uF X 10V on the main board under the shield close to the connector that from the power board. you will see them because they will be FAT( exploded)
