to get to what, not told, it can have 35 screws and 10 or more steps to get to things, gee read the manual yet, free , called service manual;
or youtube it.
On ifixit they already did some repairs on this laptop. Perhaps they show what you are looking for. Be careful it looks easier than it really is. And not everything you can disassemble, you also can reassemble. HP G71 Repair

I just told another guy,that's not a valid model according to hp,it's a type of memory hp uses. It's gotta be something like "Pavillion such & such" or provide the serial number.
