Menu, phone settings, NOTIFICATIONS,
or you can delete your entire missed call lists under call history.
last option is to remove battery for at least 10 seconds and reinstall
I don't believe it is something you can change since none of these solutions have helped. You will have to take it to your carrier.
The only way YOU can possibly get the icon to disappear is to delete all missed calls or all calls completely. If you have done that and it still appears. You may have a reset button on the bottom of the phone next to the plugin or usb slot.
You may also have a phone reset option in your "settings" menu.
I would try to reset the phone from options menu, If the symbol still remains than I would take the phone in and have it serviced or replaced if it is bothering you
You will have to take the phone in to have it serviced. Or get a new phone. It is an internal electronical.firmaware problem.

Its the internal error as many customers using BB gets this problem.as the solution for this just to take it to the service center because this is software error in the device.the service center has a reset procedure to do this it just takes 5 minutes to reset it but that procedure is not provided online for free. just take the orignal bill of the purchase and your mobile to the nearest service center and get the reset done in your BB .it will be free if you provile the orignal bill of purchase.

Also if
If your call notifications are set to go to your message list, you'll need to clear it out of there too. If you have hidden the "messages" list, do a "show all" then select "messages" and see if the missed call is in there. Then go to the "phone" application, select "options" and "call logging" to turn off that setting.
or finally the last but sure option to solve the problem its little bit long procedure but will solve the problem.
connect your device to your pc
then ---------
Desktop Manager - Backup/Restore - Advanced - Then "Clear" the Phone Logs from the Device.
Desktop Manager - Backup/Restore - Advanced.
If you have Phone Call Logs under "Desktop File Databases", Delete it.
Select "Phone call logs" under "Device Databases" and copy it over to the Desktop side.
Click on "Phone call logs" under Device and Clear it.
Click on "Phone call logs under "Desktop" and copy it to "Device".
Refresh the device side to see the change.
Clear the call list, turn off the phone, and then take out the battery.
Put the battery back in, and fire it up. If it doesn't go away then, your going to have to take it in to a shop.
