I am trying to connect a Chauvet Followspot 400G to an Elation Sc

I am trying to connect a Chauvet Followspot 400G spotlight to an Elation Scene-Setter 48 and cannot seem to setup my channels/slide positions correctly. Basically, I need to program the 400G to slide number 19. How do I do this.

Hi,
Just follow the details below to set your spotlight.
The TFX-FS360 utilizes 2 DMX control channels.
Channel 1 is for the colour.
Channel 2 is the dimmer.
1) Press the FUNCTION button until the DMX Mode LED turns on.
2) Press the UP or DOWN buttons until the starting channel address you desire is located on the digital display. eg 19

How to make followlight with colours?

With DMX controller you command the color wheel within the unit to the desired color. I don't know if you can do this without a controller.

How to make follow spot with colours?

on the control panel, use the Function Select button to set it to manual mode. Now, the color buttons on the panel should control the colors.

I recently bought the Chauvet ColorPalette and the Chauvet Obey 4. I've been having a lot of issues getting the two to work together. I can't figure out if they're just incompatible, or if I haven't set it...

If you are using a LONG cable between, make sure you have terminated the far end with a termination resistor. The units should work together.

Have a q-mix chauvet stage light goes thru all motions but light wont come on even changed bulbs and fuses alright

Chauvet uses a 16 amp Triac to control the power to many of the 120 volt lamps in their products. The Triac MAY be blown in your unit. If a bulb shorts, this blows the Triac.

I use Diigikey,com part number 497-2397-5 as the exact replacement. The generic number is BTA16-600BRG

Look for a part with this number on an aluminum plate and test the device. Also look for loose wires in the unit.

The followspot was on and the bulb blew with a loud bang, when I changed the bulb it powered up and came on but could no longer blackout or dim the light with the dimmer manually or DMX. I have it apart...

When he bulb blew out, it temporarily shorted and blew out the Triac that controls the voltage to the lamp. It will need to be replaced... A lot of the Chauvet units use a 16 amp, 600 volt Triac part number :

BTA16-600BRG

which is available from Digikey. It will be mounted on a heatsink.

Make sure you are in manual mode with the Function Select button on the control panel.
