I need a manual for my Yukon NVRS Varmint Hunter # 26013WL 2.5x50 Scope to replace mine...Needing to re-learn adjustments

I lost the manual, and need a refresher on care and adjustments...Thanks

Hello, don't worry about it. It is HV to the image intensifier tube. The battery voltage goes through control circuit then to ccfl inverter (here is were dc voltage is switch on and off and switch dc voltage is step up by toroid coil that has two input and only two out puts). By impulsing the coil with two different switch dc voltage on the input this make the current lag the two different phase voltage by 90 degrees. Here is where the strange noise is coming from. The toroid coil is encased in iron case and if half of this iron case is loose, it makes case vibrate so the noise.


Now, the voltage come out of the toroid coil is switching dc (one could call it AC because that what AC voltage is, it switch between positive to negative) this voltage is about 300 to 900 switching DC voltage. This voltage will be applied to a 1/2 wave voltage multiplier (this voltage multiplier with have anywhere four four stages to 10 stages depend on what the input voltage to multiplier is.

Low the voltage out of the ccfl inverter the more stages the multiplier will have.



Now, the voltage multiplier will double the voltage per stage to need image intensifier tube voltage of 12000 to 45000 volts---DC switching or AC what ever one wants to call it. This voltage will bit you but it doesn't have a lot current associated with it, the current would be in the 10 to 15 ua (micro-amps) 1/10X6 amps.

Do i have to loosen set screws on turrets to zero scope or do i zero and leave the set screws where they are to shoot at different distances? thx. 6x24x42 varmint with mil dot reticle.

Sight in your scope, Loosen the set screws and zero the dials the re-set the set screws. This will make it easy for you to adjust for distance and wind from the zero setting when in the field shooting. Then you can go back to your zero.

My cross hairs do not move when i adjust my sights. i bought a laser bore sighter and the laser points in the same exact spot no matter how far i turn my adjustments nor do my cross hairs move.

This happens a lot during bore sighting, - no shock to the scope to jar the cross hairs. So take your screwdriver and use the handle - rap the scope or better just tap it. Not hard enough to bend/dent it but jar it so things can move if need to.

The Hawke comes with a good, lifetime warranty.
They are reported to be fast and fair about these things.
The best thing you can do is send it back and they will fix it or replace it.

Once zeroed in is the range on the turrets correct at i go longer distances?

This depends entirely on what class of cartridges the scope was built for. Different cartridges will drop more or less at a specified distances based on starting speed and ballistic coefficient. If your scope is built for a .223 and you are shooting a .223, then it will work fine. If you mounted it on a 45-70 however, the bullet will drop much more quickly and your necessary scope adjustments will not match the markings on your scope.

Cross hairs wont move when trying to ajust

The cross hairs don't actually move when you adjust a scope, instead, they are contained within what is called the erector tube. When you adjust your scope you are actually moving this tube, thus the cross hairs do not move around in your field of view

Adjustment

you have a gun mount problem its not a scope problem ,,,the scope mount is not a good fit to the gun and is off set to the barrel,,,
set the scope to center of its ajustment and then "pack out the scope with a bit of old 35mm film till you get it close to were you need it to hit then do the last bit of ajustment on the turrets,,this works for lift and windage

I would strip the wires as carefully as I could and get them back together, get the 2 AA batteries back in there, and see what happens. Then go about making a permanent splice in the wires and getting the lens to stay on there, or ship it back to Russia for repairs. Or find somebody to do it. I'm sure it can be done. Hope this helps.
