SOURCE: How do you get the top plastic cap off the Kohler Ingenium flush

My Kohler Ingenium has no pins. The white cap is attached to the grey lever which must be lifted up before twisting both one-eighth turn counter-clockwise, and lifting off of fill tube. Turn the water supply back on and flush the tube out (cover with cup first!). Use a thin wire rod about 12" long to gently poke down into fill tube to clear any clogs. Also check where the small flexible fill tube exits from the main fill tube. Reassemble and cross your fingers.

SOURCE: K4608 toilet. Ingenium flush valve. Constant

Yes. If it still leaks after replacing the flapper then you may need to replace the entire flush valve but that is very rare.
Fluid master in my opinion makes the best most reliable replacement flappers or you can go with the OEM parts.

Kohler toilet troubles

The holes around the inside of the bowl may be clogged, try using some CRL and scrubbing the holes with a good stiff brush.

Ingenium toilet water will not turn off. The float is completely under water and still water is coming into the tank.

WEll, two thoughts come to mind. either your float has "sunk" or you have foreign matter in the inlet valve...Typically, you replace the inlet valve in this case.

Float does not trigger valve to stop water - continues to run even though tank is full

What kind of flush valve is it? kohler.com shows a couple of different towers with their ingenium toilets. Is it a Kohler item or is it a Fluidmaster?
Usually you adjust water height by turning a threaded rod that runs up and down. See page 5 of this pdf

The flush valve closes almost immediately so that there is an inadeuate flush. The valve is a large cylinder about the width of a soda can and there is no adjustment I can see.

you will need to find a plumbing store and purchase a new one, I live in SC and Larrys' Plumbing sales them, so I am sure like a HD Furgersens etc. will. Good Luck Tim

After each flush, the tank fills but the fill valve doesn't stop and the water keeps running into the toilet. How could I adjust the fill valve?

Hi,
Usually the problem is dirt in the fill valve and not an adjustment problem...
depending on which valve you have it can be taken apart and cleaned out... just remember to turn off the water supply before taking the fill valve apart...

Toilet keeps running even when manually lifting floater to max

check handle to ensure no tension is on the flapper chain when not being flushed. check flapper to ensure positive seal to flush valve. check water level to ensure not overflowing into flow valve. if that's the case, lower water height.

then if still doesn't work, change flapper,

all else fails, change flush valve.
good luck,
steve

Toilet fill runs periodically works well but wastes water

Sounds like your flapper is leaking causing the water in the tank to lower until it triggers the fill valve. Replace the flapper (they're cheap and wear out easily).
