How to change time of day on WM336 CD player - Xtreme Sound WMS336 CD Player

  • 17 more comments
  • bobbylk36 Feb 27, 2009

my stereo has no button for menu. It has a mode button which does not access any menu. If you need serial # on my unit is 2309055812.

  • bobbylk36 Feb 27, 2009

I must leave for a few hours so don't panic if you don't hear from me for 5 -6 hours. Thank You. Bob

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

hello - I am back and awaiting your reply. I hope you can find an owners manual or an answer to my question so I can get you paid.

    Bob

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

The website is under Xtreme cd players, but I did not find any downloads for instruction manuals. The unit works great, just can't find how to set to correct time. Sorry to be so picky, but it is not worth it to accept and pay for no solution. I hope you can help me. Bob

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

    there is no menu button

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

    there is no function key

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

turned off radio - holding mode button merely turns radio on. I thank you all for your trying to help, but I am going offline.
PS - radio has customer assistance # 1-800-763-8340 which I have been calling forever with a constant busy signal, hence my trying you guys. Again sorry and thanks.

    Goodnight

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

brand name is Xtreme sound model # WMS336 CD Player

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

okay I guess we'll have to say we don't know the answer. FYI there is no dsp button..I have pushed & prodded all the various buttons, both on and off, to no avail. To keep from getting answers that involve directions that can not be followed I will recap all the buttons on my unit: open--mode--sel--p-eq--disp--1pau--2scn--3prpt--4shf--5--6--ams--power--mono--bnd/low--lo--mu--tune/track. I have tried all these buttons with unit both on and off and get nothing about setting clock. As to date I don't think that is an option, as only time displays, at least I think it is time as it changes by the minute. Hope this helps.

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

Thank you for the manual, but it is for a home unit not a car stereo. I guess I will have to resign myself to the clock not being able to be set.

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

Somehow you guys are not reading my entire posts. There is no edit button or time/date button! Thanks again but I think we'll have to give up on this one!

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

am I supposed to accept even though no solution to my problem? The contact your dealer/factory was tried long before I first contacted you guys. Pay anyway? It said in your ad satisfaction guaranteed.

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

It does not - this is the second sending of this manual for a HOME CD system. Mine is a car audio system. Thanks again for trying!

  • bobbylk36 Feb 28, 2009

Thanks but none of these buttons exist on my system. I have posted complete info on prior posts. Thank you anyhow!

  • bobbylk36 Mar 01, 2009

thanks for the suggestion, but nothing happens when I do this.

  • bobbylk36 Mar 02, 2009

Thanks but please read my entire conversation - you will note there is no function button. Thanks again.

  • bobbylk36 Mar 02, 2009

thank you but there is no watch battery. I am just going to buy a new unit.

  • bobbylk36 Mar 02, 2009

thaqnk you - there is no a or audio button. I am just going to buy a new unit.

  • bobbylk36 Mar 03, 2009

one more time - there is noA button. Thanks again.

Turn off radio and hold mode button to see if you can set clock that way. I know you have to do that on some older radios like pioneer and sony. If you give me the Xtreme web site you have I will try to help you more.

Here is the manual for the system, however it does not mention any option to set up the time.

The manufacturer website was http://www.xtremeproducts.com/, but it appear to be closed.

  • Ginko
    Ginko Feb 28, 2009

I think this is real manufacturer website, the other one was just a distributor.
They do not provide any manual download, all you can do is contacting them to find out how to correct the date time.
If that is the product, then Here is the manual.

  • Ginko
    Ginko Feb 28, 2009

The manual was for an home wireless unit composed of a CD and a set of wireless speaker, not a car stereo.

By the way you should contact the manufacturer the same, this product is not very common on the market, and that is the only way to get support.

as you will have to contact the near by dealer for this because they mostly have the manuals for this and also provide.as they them self sell this product.because the online manual provided by the company is not providing this time and date setting.its just showing up the feauters in the unit.how to place and some common things which we all mostly know.
as contacting the manufactres website or local dealer will be much more helpful.
    thanks.

I turned the volume up the other day and it got stuck, it kept getting louder and louder. I turned it off, but now I can only use the CD player. I can't change the volume on the CD player. I also can't use...

You need to free the stuck switch. As long as it is jammed, it is going to send a signal to the microprocessor. The microprocessor can only handle one command at a time, so while the volume up switch is sending a signal to it, it will do nothing else.

Cd loading

Is this problem new or was it always like that? If it is an mp3 cd you are having problems with, It is normal for mp3's to take some time to load. If it wasn't like that before, I would suggest cleaning the Lens/ eye of cd player. If you don't want to take it apart, you can use a cd cleaner. It is just a disk with soft brushes that can clean inside the cd player.
Have a good day!

Magnavox CD Player Clock Radio not working

This Clock/Radio/CD player has had component failure problems. The unit is probably not worth repairing. The reason is the parts and repair information is probably very limited. The cost of the repair with parts and labor will be expensive. This repair would probably cost you more than just buying a new Clock/Radio/CD player. I hope this information helps you with your problem. Thank you for using FixYa and have a nice day!
