I have a blackberry pearl. Everytime I make a phone call a strange symbol appears in the upper right hand corner. It rectangular with white stars going diagnolly seperating the box into two colors-blue and black. I am having trouble with my reception since it has been there.

The icon is an indicator for the Enhance Call Audio feature selected on the device. The Enhance Call Audio feature is designed to allow a user to adjust the sound quality over the earpiece of the device (e.g. Boost Bass or Boost Treble)

Ok i have teh same problem with my black berry and the guys at black berry can't even tell me what it is. I had my phone for a month and that symbol starting appearing and then my phone went bye, bye and I had to get a new one. Thank goodness I was under the 30 day exchange at teh store otherwise I would have to send it away and get a new one. But how stupid that not even teh blackberry "so called" experts couldn't even tell me what it was.
