No can do you must have a Furuno GPS or a GPS with NMEA 0183 output. you could get that from the Hummingbird display but not straight from the antenna

I have a Furuno Radome RSB0094-075 with a Navnet RDP 139 10.4" What I dont have is the antenna cable to connect the two units. What cable should i be ordering for this?? Thanks, Mike

That is a Furuno 1823C Radar -000-138-972 (10 meter Radar cable) $150.00 msrp from Furuno. Give their Camas Office a call or your nearest dealership. The Furuno number in Camas, Wa 888-834-9330

Ais and 1920c Furuno chart plotter

n the system setup, under “UNITS” I set BEARING to “MAG” (magnetic). This will cause the unit to display course / bearing information in relation to the Magnetic North and match magnetic compass readings. It is not the same as True North! One has to be careful with this setting. There are a number of areas where the earth's magnetic field is locally disturbed, sometimes very significantly. Your GPS may not account for it. - again, under “UNITS” I set “METRIC”.

Good day, I just bought a transducer (R209) for my 1920 C furuno display but seem to have a probleem with the setup on the display. I have no radar connected to the system and to do the installation...

If you just have the transducer and no network sounder youre pretty much dead in the water. along with your transducer, you will need either a BBFF1 or DFF1 sounder. Since they operate on a network they will have to be configured depending on your setup.

Won't open the overlay screen

You must have a heading sensor input for radar/chart overlay. (i.e. PG500)

May i upgrade furuno 1920 gps/ploter with radar

If it has a round radar plug in the back then the answer is yes and it already has radar support. However to upgrade your unit to the latest software you will need a dealer for that. It's a very tricky process and if not done properly, you can ruin the bootloader programming that starts the unit. I know of a dealer that does this if you want to check in with them. You can even send them the unit. Try www.mid-shore-electronics.com.

My furuno navnet vx2 periodically freezes during operation and must be restarted. Any suggestions?

Reinstall the operating software. The unit should probably go to Furuno.
Try operating it with only a GPS connected (no radar, no network). If this resolves it, it is almost certainly software. It could be low voltage or failing mother board.

Navnet VX2 System won,t power up, have voltage at plug in. Are there any fuses that might be out ?

Remove all connectors aside from the power cable then attempt to power up. If the unit turns on, it may be your radar if you had one one it originally. If so plug the radar cable back into it with it off and try powering up. If it does not, then thats the issue. the Radar or your cable.

My ais targets are out of line showing them out of the river

If the AIS targets are out compared with radar target then turn compass to superimpose radar on to AIS.
If the AIS info is out compared with chart then suspect GPS. This could be yours or theirs depending on how many targets are out and whether it consistantly in one direction.
Good luck
Mike
