Trying to get my ps3, Emerson hd tv and coby DVD938 home theater all to work together

The DVD938 only has analog audio input (2.1 channel), thats why you have only a white (left channel) and red (right channel) audio connection from your ps3 to the home theatre. There is an option called PROLOGIC in the setup menu that will simulate 5.1 with the 2.1, it basically takes the 2.1 channels and splits it into all the speakers.

COBY cs-p63 ,how to connect to a 42 in. tv

3.5mm is stereo sound, which means 2 speakers. so no there isn't a cable, u could get a 3.5mm to AUX cable, but that would only play sound out of the front 2 speakers and the subwoofer. otherwise you would need a device that supports 5.1

I just bought the coby csp96 surround sound package and am having trouble hooking everything up. It came with the dvd player to hook all the input cords to, which i did. Everything is working accept when i...

there is a nobb on the subwoofer, one is to dial down or up the sub (noob1) , and the other is to dial up or down the 5.1 speark (noob 2). turn noob 2 to the left to dial down the sound, first time i got my setup it was totally down, btw the 5.1 works wonderous if you use a home theater system. Iam using a 1,000watt sony home theater system. 100/200watt RMS per channel at 5 channel those little speakers really can handle well, I never experiance any blow outs :) Coby outdid themselfs with this system

I CAN NOT GET ALL 5 SPEAKERS TO WORK

I know this is not the answer that you want to hear, but: That television is not capable of delivering audio output to all 5 speakers - it is a stereo-only TV, which only delivers 2 channels.

Furthermore, that Coby DVD-937 only has Digital Audio outputs rather than inputs, which is very strange and complicates our problem immensely. You will get 5-channels with DVD or radio play, but getting 5 channels for TV is not possible without additional equipment.

The manual for the Coby mentions a "Digital Decoder Amplifier," which would work. You would connect a digital audio cable from the area marked "Coaxial" on the back of the Coby to a digital audio IN on the back of an external amplifier. You would connect the speakers to this amplifier, instead of directly to the back of the Coby. Then you would need a cable or satellite box with digital audio outs (fairly common nowadays) to another digital audio IN on the back of the amplifier. The cable or sat box you may have already, but you may need to purchase such a "Digital Decoder Amplifier" or other digital amplifier with appropriate speaker wires and 2 digital audio input slots (not to mention two digital audio cables). Fairly complex. Possibly expensive.

COBY cs-p63 ,how to connect to a computer

Hello,

with this system it comes with connector cables, on one end is 3.5mm to go into your computer and the other end is rca jacks that go into the subwoofer, all the speakers go to the subwoofer. your computer must have all 5 ports to get true surround sound, if not, just hookup the ones for the FL FR and run RCA split from that to the speaker output on your computer.

All dvds skips evan brand new ones

Return the unit to the store which you purchased it from. You have an internal problem with the scanner (led) You can first try to clean the led this could be your problem. They sell lens cleaning dvd disks. try it, you have nothing to loose. If this does not work, just bring it back.
