I need service manual edan se- ecg. failure does not record any signal.

A user manual is not difficult, http://photos.medwrench.com/equipmentManuals/4028-4012.pdf
But service manuals only will be sold to certified technicians or certified service centres.
http://www.solicmedical.com/manuals/Edan-SE-12-Express-ECG-User-Manual.pdf
Although in both manuals you also things about maintenance, they don't show you how to service (repair) them..
SorryI can't give more help. Try the firm where you device is bought.

My Fukuda cardimax fx-7102 sometimes have grounded electrodes and does not print very well. The printout is very thick which almost cover the whole paper. It does not also function when using the battery...

hi,
You have to check the battery of you machine. it is recommended that you have to take ECG with battery backup. you should use AC line only for charging the battery. When you take ECG when the machine is plugged in to the AC you should provide good grounding to your machine. there will be provision for grounding in your machine. when you use the Ac line and if the grounding is not proper then the machine will print AC interference with ecg. that's why the printout come thick. Try to change the battery for better ECG print out.

I own an omron HCG-801 and have taken several ecg readings but cannot figure out how to transfer them to the PC in a way they can be read ian McKinnon

Hi,
For copping the ecgs to your computer you need a SD card reader.
Please follow these instructions to copy data from the SD memory card to a PC.

1. Remove the SD card from the machine after switching off it.

2. Make sure the PC is equipped with an SD memory card port or connect a commercially available SD memory card reader/writer to your PC.

3. Create a new folder on your PC where you want to save a copy of the ECG data.

4. Insert the SD memory card in the card reader and browse to the SD memory card data

5. Select all files and copy them in the folder you have created earlier (step 2).

6. When copying is finished, remove the SD memory card.

For analysis ECGs that are copied to your PC, you need PC analysis software (providing databasing and printing tools). Normally the software CD comes with the machine. if you dont have the same you have to contact the manufacturer. Only through that software you will be able to read the ECGs in your pc.
If you need any more assistance from me feel free to contact through fixya.

What are the troubleshooting in ecg?

Those are some examples of ECG malfunctions and troubleshooting however there are to many more problems that you can find in ECG equipment. If the problem is not on this short list you can contact us. Or another Medical Repair Organization (MROs).
  • Symptom: Machine runs, but the thermal tip stylus does not write or writes very lightly.
  • Possible cause: (1) Too little heat on the stylus tip, (2) insuficient stylus pressureon the paper.
  • Troubleshooting: (1) Using a insulated probe, such as a srewdriver, gently press the stylus onto the paper. (2) Is a dark line appears on the paper, the problem is too little pressure, but if no dark line appears, the problem is not enough heat.
  • Symptom: Smeared trace
  • Possible causes: Worn stylus or incorrectly loaded paper.
  • Trobleshooting: Check paper loading and if proper, check stylus, for wear, pitting, or another irregularities.

Eating healthy & exercising are key in preventing the heart disease. However, there are still many risk factors you can’t control, such as age, ethnicity, or gender, so check your heart health regularly for abnormalities and trends. It's important even if you already have heart problems and checking yourself with an EKG machine.

Designing a linear regulated power supply

what you are doing is over **** for 300 mA, now if you will pulling some real wattage then you would need linear regulation.
just use a 10.00 ac adapter . or a zener diode .
the calculations in real time analysis is complex GE has the formula online . but a spike at 300ma will be assorbed by the transformer easilly. if you are protecting delicate circuit then a fuse will not work quickly enough , fry and blow is all they do.
a crowbar circuit is what most designers use nowdays.fast and efficient.
There are plenty of IC regulators on the market that will give these specs but I think your are over thinking your needs unless you have an exact spec for medical research.
