I've rolled back the driver Turned adaptive brightness on and off tried to use the lenovo energy management software, but nothing works
Hi, I had this problem also and I don't know why, but Lenovo Ideapad Z500 seems to have some compatibilities issues with a new Intel video card.
So, what you need to do is rolling back the HD intel video card driver to the previous version OR go to the following path: D:\drivers\VGA\Intel\x64\9.17.10 and press Setup to install the old driver again.
That solved my problem. It's a shame that I can't upload this driver in my laptop.
Thnx, I ve resolved
You're are the man! seriously
that old driver resolved it. I wasted so many houres trying to find the solution, and it was so simple x)
cheers bud! im no computer whizz, found that an easy fix!
Thank you so much! I had the same issue with my Lenovo IdeaPad P400 Touch, and this simple fix totally cured it. Last time this happened, I took it back to Best Buy's Geek Squad (like an idiot) and they kept my computer for a week, ended up wiping it out and reinstalling everything from scratch. Obviously, that didn't even fix it because I had the problem again. So thankful for your advice (and never going back to Geek Squad!)
Thank you Rhuan, this worked like a charm.
Thank you so much, it worked for me
thank you very much
I'm glad that I could help some of you guys :)
thanks bro
Thank you, It worked for me.

I have problem with my laptop brightness . model lenovo z500 version 8.1 advice pls
Hi! I've got the same issue, but I downloaded drivers from lenovo site. That solved the issue for some time. I needed to reinstall win 8.1, then this problem occured again. but drivers are fresh, so no solution found here... The only thing helps me in this situation is I just restart the laptop and press F2 to get to BIOS setup or F12 to get to startup menu, then I use brightness control to make screen brighter. then I continue computer's startup, windows (or other OS) starts and I have normal brightness. Will inform you more, when I solve the issue))) Bye.

hi there, you wireless network card driver is probably not installed. check in control panel if your computer has detectde your wireless network card. got ot control panel then system then device manager and look for network adapters.make sure that wireless network card is installed there withot exclamation mark. if not present then reinstall the driver by using the driver disk that came with the system or going to the website http://consumersupport.lenovo.com. if installed, then try perssing Fn+F6 to enable/disbale your wireless card.
please let me know if you need more help.

If the docking station charging doesn't work either and your battery is ok you have lost voltage regulator (it prevents overcharging of battery) Take the battery to a battery plus store and they can check it..

After making sure that the status of network adapters in the device manager showed enabled, I tried using the Fn+F5 key on my keypad. The Fn+F5 key showed my WiFi status as disabled inspite of the Wifi toggle switch on the front of the laptop in the "on" position. So I enabled it and the WiFi led started glowing and I was able to access the internet through WiFi connection

sound like you may have a bad battery charge board but let us pray that it is a separate baord that plugs into the mother board
