SOURCE: forgotten password

try pressing ESC 2 or 3 times to bypass this option. Then go to your user account settings and change or delete your password. If all else fails, format HD or burn a bootable windows password recovery program and boot up pc with the disc.

i would say, if you have the OS disk that may have come with your computer or if you have another OS on a disk. you could reinstall your computer by booting it from the disk at start up. if your netbook doesnt have a disk drive, and you have another computer, put the disk in that computer and then put the disk on a flash drive. then you should be able to boot from the flashdrive on your netbook. Hope i helped :)

SOURCE: I just purchased an ASUS

It should be located here. However, their web site is not displaying the manual or other specifications right now. I would try calling their support line at 888-678-3688. They are open 24/7. You can access the drivers at this URL. Sadly the manual and or other docs on their specifcations tab are not displaying.

My Asus k50Ij laptop was stolen now i got it back they changed the user name what can i do please help

Reinstall the operating system - it should wipe out the password and viruses that may have installed when they used it. Unfortunately, if it's a HDD password - get another hard drive. Go to the ASUS website and determine if there is a recovery partition in the hard drive to restore back to factory settings.

I need to manually reset my laptop. my husband put blocks and passwords on it and took off.

During the boot up process you will see on the screen press a certain key to enter set up

Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set supervisor or user password you can change or remove your password from there

once you have your computer running

On the Users tab, click the name of the user whose password you want to change, and then click Reset Password.

  1. In New password and Confirm new password, type the new password, and then click OK.

hope this helps
