Blue screen after monitor went into sleep mode

So basically, I was playing Battlefield 2 and in the middle of the game, it froze for about 30 seconds. After that, it said "monitor going to sleep" so I had to reboot my computer. Ever since then I have been getting these weird lines across the screen and every time it passes the loading screen to the log on screen i get the blue screen and my computer resets.

My Nintendo 64 when I was in the middle of a game it froze and the screen went all black and then it went to the tv screen saying no signal then.

Well one time I had this problem with my Nintendo 64 console when I was in the middle of playing perfect dark the screen had froze went black and then it went to saying no signal on the tv screen. The console did not over heat to cause this problem. I thought that it had died on me but I had tried a new expansion pack and it was fine after that. SOmetimes the expansion packs can blank out in the middle of a game play they can die without a warning then. Or it can say expansion pack needed or it will give the white flash that it is turning on but nothing happens after that then.

Test your internet connections to make sure you have ample upload speeds, then check your console for the amount of available memory. You may need to delete a few things.

Hi there. I had the same problem months ago when I try to play high end games like Sims 3 my monitor goes into power saving mode. I tried to check every possible causes of the problem. It could be that your computer is overheating try to clean your computer and check if your fans still works. Second it could me your power supply malfunctioning, maybe it does not meet the required power to make your game work. Last cause is your video card malfunctioning, what I did is to just buy a new video card and it works.
If you do not have spare power supply or video card you can go to a computer repair shop for them to check the possible problem that causes it to go into power saving mode. It can also save you money before you can buy a new one.
Hope this helps, Have a good day!

Screen turns black and blue LED is blinking

Sounds like the monitor is being made to show a resolution it does not support. Check the available resolutions the monitor supports and then check what resolution the video card is giving, if it not compatable, you get the black and blue screens.

For the video card, right click on the desktop in a an empty area and choose properties > settings > your resolution from the card will be there. Now from there click on advanced > click on monitor and look at the monitor settings. Make sure the box is checked to hide modes the monitor cannot display. Now click on the adapter tab and click below on all modes. This is the list of all modes that both the monitor and the video card argree on. Make sure the settings in your game match one of these and you should be good to go.
