My sony ericsson z310i has been playing up on me.This is a replacement for my previous z310i.I got it as a replacement because my previous phones screen kept gong black too, and every time I sent it off for repair (3 times) it came back and worked for around 2 hours and then the screen went black again.So I am in doubt it is anything they can fix.Also before it broke every time I missed a call it didnt record it.....well it came up 1 missed called and i go into it and it says no missed call....uuuugggghhhh so annoying.So if you have any soluton PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE let me know and if it involves downloading software could you possibly tell me how much it would cost.Thanks in advance...xox
I have the same problem as smiley, it just went blank...I know it's on
because I can call people and the outside screen is working but the
screen is black... Is the reflashing going to fix that problem or is
the screen just dead?
And if reflashing is the answer, how do I do it?
Can't fix your phone, but can help you save your contacts to your SIM card so you can transfer them to a new phone.
To save contacts on a z310a that has a broken
screen, do the following: 1.From standby, (make sure the backlight is
lit up) press the center button once 2. Press down once to go to
address book 3. Press center button to enter address book 4. Press
RIGHT select button (upper right button with line through it) to select
options. 5. Press down FIVE (5) times to go to Advanced 6. Press center
button to go into Advanced 7. Press down FIVE (5) times to go to Copy
To SmartChip 8. Press LEFT select button to enter 9. Press LEFT select
button to select "Copy All" 10. Press LEFT select button to confirm.
Wait a couple of minutes to make sure all your contacts were
transferred.
Mine does that, I was able to get it to work by doing different combinations of popping my battery and sim card out, also, if u shut ur phone and open it, it's black again, so if u do get it to work, DONT SHUT IT!!!!
The above person (Kamyward) is a f*cking idiot. I followed the instructions and ended up accidentally calling the f*cking emergency services. Not once but twice. Because the 1st time I'd just left the phone on the desk and heard a distant voice and didn't know what it was. So then I tried it again but this time with the phone to my ear.
What kind of a c*ck would do that? Want to waste the emergency services time?????

same problem... out of a blue screen first started acting up and then went black... for a day it would occasionally come back... but then went black completely. can still call and get calls, but anything for what i need the screen is useless - no texting, no finding contacts, nothing...
I'm also having the same issue with my Sony Ericsson Z310a. Screen was going in and out for a couple of days then it just went completely black. Very frustrating I cannot read any texts or do anything that involves viewing the screen. Please help!
