I replaced the battery on my Casio Forester FT-600W. After that neither the analog nor digital watch works. The light works ie the battery is good (I just bought it new). What do I need to do?

Thought this would happen when I sent you a request to help me simply change the analog time on my watch.
Your repsone to free suppor tis asking me to enter into a arrangement that requires payment.
I've solved the problem from another site free of charge.
I'm very disillusioned with the way you promote your site and will definitley recommending to others to stay clear of it.
COmes across as we can help you free of charge but bottomline is that this won't happen.
Onlty wanted to know how I change the analog time on my watch - could go to the Jewler to do this free of charge - thought the internet would help but your company has prolonged the support immensely.

Use this page to download a copy of CASIO watch manuals in PDF format. To download a PDF file, enter the four-digit (or three-digit) module number marked on the back cover of your watch.

You will need a pdf reader on your pc, you will find all instructions in there.
If you don't have a pdf reader you can get one from

SOURCE: I just replace the battery
Hi, I just encountered the same problem today as I was changing the battery and I found the solution. First make sure when you are changing the battery that the watch stem is pulled out; then after the battery has been replaced, and before you put the gasket and back on you will need to "reset" or "hotwire" the battery ....you are going to likely need a magnifying glass to find a tiny ac symbol on the back of the watch (without the back cover replaced)...just next to the ac symbol is a tiny hole. Take a piece of wire, or in my case I used an unfolded paper clip, and put one end of the wire in the hole and the other end on the back of the battery (the +/positive side should be facing up). Leave the wire in contact with the ac/battery for 5 seconds, then remove. Next replace the rubber gasket, then the back and the screws. Lastly, push in the watch stem. Your watch should now work. I found out through considerable research that almost all digital watches will need that "hotwiring" step performed after the battery is replaced.

This may sound dumb but make sure the battery is in the correct side up. There should be a + or - symbol on top of the metal piece that snaps over the battery. If that's correct get a pair of tweezers and spread them open, and touch one side to the top of the battery and the other side down inside a little hole with ac marked beside it. That will reset the watch, and your display should come on.

Can someone explain how I get the silver tab/cover that is directly over the battery of the Casio 2608 GW-300 off. I can see the battery, but I am not sure how to remove or raise the tab that holds the battery is place so that I can remove the battery for replacement. thank you for your help.
