When first tried to send message it came up message centre i was unable to send so i put in a made up 5 digit code (12345) to see if this would allow me to send. Now when i send mesages it goes through the sending process but the person doesnt get the message and on my phone it is going to outbox and when you go to outbox it says resend and it is not showing in my sent items.
All you have to do is go to your message setting on your phone:
1. Open Messaging
2. On New message sellect options at bottom
3. Open settings
4. Open Text message, you should see: Message centre, message centre in use ect..
5. Open message centres this should go to next screen then open again, this screen should have : Message centre name & Message centre number (from your network provider you need to find out what is the message centres name & number are e.g in Australia it should be SMSC1 and number is +61411990001) then just manually enter these in there.
every time u swap sim cards, the network send all settings. So message centre name

Hi,
You cannot send
messages because the message centre number stored in your mobile may be wrong.
Please enter the
correct message centre number. To get the correct message centre number please
call your service provider and they will provide you the number.
Menu >
Messaging >Options >Settings > Text message >Message centres
Thank You

I had this same problem o2 said it was a fault with the phone and that i just wouldn't be able to send messages because they couldn'e fix the problem. however by putting another o2 sim in the phone reset the message centre settings and i am now able to send and recieve with no probs!
i have the same problem... the message settings are good but the handset may be the problem .i called the network, the network says it was fine and my handset was the problem . i tried to send through another handset(cellphone) and it was sent.. i tried a different sim card on 5800 and it wont send it will just be sent to outbox and "resend"... the handphone might be the problem.
