Had an axel replaced in my 06 jeep commander.. Took a while it was pretty stuck.. After hours of banging and shoving (days) got out old.axel...replaced new 1 started it up..jeep shut right off..started it...

Likely the battery needs charged and/or has given out, hence radio works but no lights or engine crank.

Typical battery voltage is 12.7 VDC at full charge but most engines will turn over and start with just under 12.0V.

Check battery with a Digital Multi Meter and if not over 12V connect external charger for an hour or so. Then disconnect charger and recheck battery volts. If not over 12V, youll likely need a replacement battery.

Car battery goes dead within 3 days it is my new pioneer radio that drains it.

Would not think so, radios do not use that much power. My car sits idle for weeks, still with power to constant 12v. Check your battery, IF going flat that quick, probably needs replacing

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee sport and it just won't turn over. It has full power inside and a brand new battery.

You need to begin testing at the battery using a volt meter. Power requirement of interior is far lower than the starter needs. Check battery for 12v, check that posts & terminals are clean and secure, Check starter relay in the power distribution center, make sure grounds are good at the engine end. Check for 12v at the starter main terminal and 12v at the starter trigger wire with the key in the start position. (if you have both, likely starter has failed,) if power only at main terminal, re-check relay, and also test neutral safety switch and ignition switch. If no power at main terminal go back to the battery and re-test everything between again.

Problems with the INJUSA 12V Jeep - Not working.

Hi Rose,

Yes, batteries can die. But other things can happen too.

If you are comfortable using a voltmeter and the battery is accessible, here are a few things to check. Set it to check DC voltage and:
  • Test the voltage on the battery, is it Low, does it read zero, does it read near 12v?
  • See if it's charging. Do the same test with the charger engaged. It should read 12V. Does it?
  • Does the battery show any signs of leakage?
  • Are the terminals clean?
Get back to me with the results and we can take it from there.

If by "Reboot" you mean turn-off and restart, your CMOS battery is probably bad and not able to supply enough power to the bios to retain your time settings. Replace the CMOS battery.

Many web sites require the proper date and time on the surfer's PC. For example, Microsoft Update will not allow downloads if the surfer's PC date and time are far out of syncwith the real time. Ironically, even the Update Time function on the surfer's PC will not work if it is too far out of sync.
