Delete date from photo

That is correct. The date setup only affects pictures when they are taken; it will not alter pictures that have already been taken.

If you want to remove the date from a picture that already has it, you have to remove it the same way you would remove any other unwanted object from the picture.

I reformat my archos 101 tablet, now all the files are gone, when i turn it on alli see is archos a101it recovery ,can you please help. thanks

LOL, ok, Reformat does just that (Delete All Files). Unless you have them backed up someplace outside of the computer, they are history.

Format and Recovery deletes everything. Recovery will set your system back to the time you first purchased it. But your personal files will be gone.

System Restore on the other hand does not delete anything. It allows you to restore your system back to a particular date and time. Your documents, music, pictures, videos, data and programs will not be deleted. You might have to reinstall programs that you installed after the date and time you selected.

I accidentally set the date imprint on my camera. I'm wondering if there is a way to get the date taken off of the front of the pictures I have already taken.

From the manual, "Imprinted dates form a permanent part of image data and cannot be deleted."

The best you can do it to make sure that Date Imprint is turned off for future pictures. The camera still records date/time info into each picture file, and many printing programs can imprint that onto the picture at printing time. The good ones print it on the back, so as not to interfere with the image. Either way, you can always add the date to the picture, but you can't remove it once it's there.

These instructions explain how to insert the date in images.
attention:
  • The [Date Stamp] cannot be deleted from the image data once it has been recorded because the date is written in as an image.
  • When selecting [Date Stamp] , [Recording Pixels] is set to 1600 x 1200 pixels and the compression (image quality) to [Fine].
  • When the shooting mode is set to <Movie> (g0029623.gif), settings for inserting the date and time cannot be made.
