On the back of the TalkSwitch is a 1/8" Mono female jack which you can plug in an audio source. You could use a radio, satelite radio, iPod, PC audio card or a CD player as your audio source. Most electronics stores will carry a cable with a male 1/8" end, which will fit the TalkSwitch, to the interface of your choice. Typically the music-on-hold input will not be on the phone or handset but on the Key Switch or PBX units. It is normaly just a matter of plugging in an audio source though it's always a good idea to check the manual first as there may be extra steps involved. With the TalkSwitch it is plug and play; a very easy process indeed.
Start by looking at the system. It's pretty tough to miss the two jacks labeled MUSIC and PA.
They take a 1/8" (3.5mm) mono jack, so you can come out of your MOH device with an RCA to 1/8" or 1/8" to 1/8" cord. Your local Rat Shack should have the cables.
You also need to open up the Talkswitch Configuration software and in the On-hold / Ringback section select "Play music whose source is connected to the MUSIC jack". The default setting is "Play double beep tones" so connecting a music device will have no effect until you make this change.

Panasonic hold music comes from an external source (if it's programmed properly) that connects to the EXT MUSIC port of the KSU. A 7730 phone is an analog device, most likely plugged into a TA series box in the back room. Depending on how it's mounted, the jacks are under the cover on the top or the right side of the box. There will be 11 modular jacks on the base cabinet (3 lines 8 exts) a page port and the music port (both 1/8" jacks).
The music source plugs into the EXT MUSIC port of the Panasonic System cabinet. It could be one or two jacks on the side of the box or the MPR card. Whatever supplies the music would need to be reprogrammed. In the USA, it's illegal to play unlicensed music on hold without paying a fee.
The music is external to the phone system. In the back room or a closet somewhere, there's a dark blue and black cabinet that has a port that's marked MOH. It will go to some kind of box or computer that supplies the music. It may have a model or phone number on it. You change the music by buying or recording new MP3 files to play.
You're stuck with what you have unless you find the box that's playing it and change the recording. Your system cabinet (a black and blue TDA cabinet) has a music device plugged into the MOH port. Just change the file.
on my lg gt500 there is no built in transmiter like some other phones eg- lg arena and it also does'nt have a standerd head phone jack it has a mini USB conection port, i brought a devise that has a mini USB plug on one end that plugs into the phone and at the other end it has a normal head phone jack, i also brought a small transmiter from ebay for a couple of £s, i plug this into the haedphone socket tune it into a station on your cars head unit while the music on the phone is playing so you can hear when it's connected, it takes about 5 minutes to do probly less actualy, this works a treat in my car, you can change the sound settings on your phones music player AND on your cars head unit to get the desired sound output, it's all realy easy, good luck.
Steve.
If it's truly music and not tones, the music comes from a device plugged into the system cabinet. On the side of the system there is a port marked MOH with a cable and a box at the other end. Here's where you find the MOH device and either change the CD or record new messages into it.
This is an option of the phone system and not the phone. There should be a music port on the side of your phone system. You want a low volume level input to go into the port (an amplified signal can apply too much power and break the feature)
