Would you expect a Nortel phone to work on an NEC sysem? The phone is digital and it requires an NEC system to work. Nortel M7208,7310, T7316 are phones that typically work on Nofrtel digital systems. They also require a digital port.

PBX's are not very flexible, Cisco is.

As cnavarro stated, signal repeaters would be best utilized in your situation up to 590 feet otherwise fiberoptics are the next and more expensive route.
