The pump is working and drains the DW if you pour water into the drain. The problem is that this thing appears to be stuck in "drain" mode always pumping out not advancing through the cycle no matter where you turn the control knob to.

Is their debris in air gap or in the bottom of the DW, where the drain is screened?

1. The air gap is usually located on top of the sink. Lift off the pretty cover, and unscrew the top cap nut. Is there rice and debris there? Remove it then. Reassemble and check it out.
2. The DW drains to the bottom of the unit where the pump is. This area is screened off so that the pump doesn't get clogging debris in it. is their leaf lettuce and stuff covering this? Remove that debris. Some times this area can only be accessed by removing the bottom spinning spray head. It comes off with a nut, possibly this nut is reverse thread. Reassemble when done looking for debris.
3. Is the drain line between the DW pump (located under the DW) and the waste pipe kinked? This line is a plastic corrugated line about 7/8" around the outside. It is a pumped waste and won't work if it is kinked, so unkink it.
4. Is the float stuck. This is a device on the bottom of your DW that tells the DW how much water is in the bottom of the DW basin. It looks like a mushroom. Gently move it up and down. Does it move freely or is it stuck? Unstick it.

Where is the problem. Is it the DW or the house drain? If it is the DW, here are some steps to follow. Use your brain thinking thing to help you too.

OK, first using a sponge and bucket, drain out all the water of the dishwasher (DW) as you can. You can also use a towel too.

Check the discharge/drain cover at the bottom of the DW for any obstructions. Sometimes small pieces of all sorts of things get sucked into the drain port.

There should be a protective shroud/cover over the drain and you might have to remove a small hex head screw to get into the drain sump inlet. Some can be popped off without any tools.

Once you have the cover off, be VERY careful in probing the drain area trying to see if there are any small broken pieces of dishes or glasses that may have gotten into the sump area. You'll want to use a towel or sponge to get the water out of the sump area.

If you don't get anything out of the sump drain, it could be that the obstruction has worked its' way into the motor disposal impeller and you'll have to remove the DW from under the counter in order to get at the motor and pump assembly. This will require possible disconnection of the water supply line, AC power line or plug, and the drain line going to the sink or disposal.

Before getting into removing the DW, you can also check the drain line for blockage by disconnecting it from either the sink drain connection or disposal and blow into the line. If it's not clogged, you'll get air coming into the DW. If not, then the drain line is clogged. Also check the Air break connection, mounted on the sink, (if so equipped) and clean it out. You can also pour warm water down the Air break to verify that the line is clear.

I've seen blockages occur fairly often on these models and it's usually caused by broken bits getting into the discharge pump and jamming the impeller. Once removed, normally the DW will work fine, unless the impeller has been totaly chewed up by the blockage, then you may have to replace the discharge impeller to get it able to pump out properly.

From your description, I doubt that the problem is door latch is the cause.
The first thing that a modern dishwasher does before it begins to fill with water is run the drain pump.  It appears that this DW is not progressing to the next cycle (inlet water) and because the pump runs even when the door is open, I agree that the controller card may have failed.
If possible, inspect all the wire connections (remove main power before you do this) ... if there is a loose connection, the controller could do odd things.

Bosch dishwashers have a seperate pump for washing and another for draining. Try making it fill more than once. There is usually a timed fill and the float stops it before it overfills It also might prevent it from washing without enouth water Try defeating the door switch and play with the float during fill. There may be a sensor that won't let it go into wash. Be prepared to get a little wet if it should start up suddenly. A slightly safer way is to fill it with the sprayer from the sink. and see if it will go into wash.

Certainly sounds like the float is stuck in the over filled position or possible a bad float switch. Could also be a bad water fill valve - if you can blow air through it when removed then you need to replace it.
