8 lights flash when i power up my jazzy1103 ultra

I CALLED AROUND TO DIFFERENT REPAIR PLACES TO FIND OUT WATS WRONG WITH MY JAZZY1103 ULTRA WHEEL CHAIR, AND THEY TOLD ME THERE IS A SHORT SOME WHERE I CAN NOT FIND IT ANY WARE THERE IS 8 FLASHING LIGHTS ON THE CONTROLLER THAT MEANS THERE IS A CODE. PLEASE HELP.

All the red and yellow lights are flashing and the speed lights as well. whats wrong with it?

Http://www.spinlife.com/Pride-Jazzy-1103-Ultra-Indoor-Power-Wheelchair/spec.cfm?productID=72348 I don't know if this is your wheelchair or not, but this website does have a manual on it, and I did take a look I couldn't find anything about the codes your talking about, I would call the company from which you got it from..and ask them what does the codes mean, or if your not happy, call another wheelchair provider I go thru Hudson Medical calling another company and see if they might be able to help you.

I don't know if this will help but I certain hope it will.

Try swapping batteries one side to the other and see if the problem moves to the other wheel. The clicking sounds like a relay. clean the battery contacts with a wire brush and smear them with a little Vaseline which prevents oxidization.

Code 8: Controller problem. Also, check to see if your gearbox levers are engaged - if you can roll the chair by hand the gearbox is not engaging the motors.

the 7 lights indicate a joystick problem which means the joystick/controller will have to be replaced since there is no self repair fix Unless you can locate a good used joystick/controller for cheap (around $600.00 rebuilt) I would return the chair and get my money back Hope this helps

When I turn on controller power the speed lights flash slowly. Joystick does nothing and chair is dead. Chair is Pride Jet 3 Ultra.
Do all of the speed lights flash at the same time or do they ripple from left to right? If they ripple from left to right the chair is in lock mode and you can use the unlock procedures from my tips to unlock. If they are all flashing at the same time you have an internal joystick problem and the joystick needs to be replaced Hope this helps

You need a quick-drying, and FLEXIBLE adhesive to fix your keypad. Surebonder 9001 is one that I use. Clean the surface around the torn area with 100% acetone (fingernail polish remover...make sure it is 100%). Wait a minute to let it dry, then apply the adhesive. Let it set and you are good to go.

Problem with joystick on Jazzy 1103 ultra
You will need to take it in for repair. 8 bar flash usually means you have a bad joystick/controller. They can sometimes send it in to the manufacturer to have it repaired. Find a reputable dealer and relay this info to them.
