Hello there,

I just had the same problem - here comes the solution!

The device in front of me is the "Zojirushi Thermal Beverage Dispenser VYBE-25". Cleaning the gauge is really tricky - and really disgusting if your guests see the dirty gauge before getting a coffee...

Once you know how to do it, it is easy! You don't need a screwdriver or anything. The black gauge cover can be removed. It has 3 pair of noses on the backside that snap into the body (1 pair on the top, 1 pair in the middle, 1 pair at the bottom of the cover). First, squeeze the gauge cover at middle heigth, then at the same time push the cover upwards. This should release it. Only the two noses in the middle block it from being pushed up.

I attached four pictures. They also show the shape of the noses and the snap-in holes. I guess this will make you fully understand my description. You can also find the pictures at http://www.filefactory.com/file/3ff1g79vrni1/n/vybe-25_zip. ZIP-password is "zojirushi".

Once the gauge cover is removed, you can easily pull the gauge (which is a glass pipe) out of the rubber pieces.

Regards from Germany,
Johannes

    Hi again,

to finally clean the gauge glass pipe is a bit tricky,
too. Most people will not have such a thin and long brush needed to
enter the pipe. And just hot water won't do... So I used a simple
drinking straw - worked perfectly. Now all clean.

    Cheers!

My Zojirushi Rice Cooker - I found the bottom of the pot (titanium) chipped. Is it hazardous to our health if continue to use?

Zojirushi Rice cookers are the very best there is. Everything is food safe. Titaniium and stainless steel are all fine, chips or no chips. I have used them extensively in Commercial Cooking.
