This is a very common problem within your projection TV set there is a small red, green, and blue picture tube. On top of the tube there is a lens that focuses the video on the screen. Between the lens and the top of the tube there is a hollow chamber filled with a clear liquid. This fluid is specifically designed to keep the tube from overheating. After about 4-5 years the fluid will start to become cloudy and will will get worse over time. Tvrepairkits.com is a good place to get a repair kit to fix this condition yourself.
The best way to determine what is at fault is to disconnect the Denon tuner and run the signal straight to the TV. If the problem goes away, the Denon is at fault.
This is a classic example of a bad connection that sufficiently changes a circuit characteristic to cause a problem. If you can solder, you can fix this yourself. Look for any connections on the board that appear grainy or have rings and resolder them. That should resolve the problem. Note: there are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside the set even when unplugged. So be careful.
When the screen goes blank, hit any remote function that will show up on the screen-like volume bar. If the display is missing as well, then you have a tv problem. If the volume display is there when the tv picture is not, you may require a software upgrade.
it sounds as if it is solder related, bur hard to say for sure. You ay need a service manual to actually trouble shootthe power supply and opeating circuits. I will post a lnk where you can get a service manual emailed to you
You likely have a bad hyper board. As time goes on the lenght of time it takes to get a clear picture will increase and eventually the picture will never clear up untill the part is either repaired or replaced.
