I had problem downloading apps from app store on to my iphone 3gs so rang apple and they advised me to update the iphone OS ,so did that and now have only apple logo on screen and can not use my iphone,have tried reconnectin to itunes but not able to restore it,does anyone have a solution to this problem

Make sure you have the latest version of itunes on your comp & power up comp & itunes
-power off your phone
-hold
down the home button (around 6secs) then insert USB cable while still
holding button then release button when cable plugged in
-itunes will then bring up message saying that the phone has been detected in recovery mode
- it will then give you choice to restore your iphone
-continue
with this choice & restore your phone, you can either restore as a
new phone (like new) or from a back up (all your stuff back), try from
your back up first, if this doesnt work and you go back to square one
then do this process again only this time restore your iphone as new and
resync your info later on.
