Only two red lights show after some traveling.

Chair is fully charged. After going a distance (not long enough to even lose one green light) it shows only 2 red lights. A couple of times the first green light would go out, then a while later the second one would go, then all of a sudden it's down to those two red lights again - but the chair still works fine. After charging it again, the same thing happens. Will I be stranded one of these times?

It takes 5-6 full charges to brake a battery in. The first charge is 90%, then it increases. Also make sure that the caster and anti tilt wheels are free of dirt and any restrictions. Make sure that you don't exceed the weight capacity - most chairs are 300 lbs on a flat, hard surface.

SOURCE: batteries aren't charging up. Chair want go.(Golden Compass)

That`s most likely your problem. When left uncharged for that long of a period, the batteries will discharge below 12 voltDC. The charger only recognizes 12 volts and up. So the charger can`t bring your batteries back up over 12 volts.  You will need to get them on a slow charger, like a car charger or have them replaced. If you know someone or have a voltmeter, set it on DC and check each battery.  If it is below 12 VDC,they need to be put on a slow charger or replaced.

SOURCE: Jazzy 1121 power chair won't go

It may not be the joystick. I have had the same problem before. The edel cable that goes from the joystick to the back of the wheelchair could be bad. You can try unplugging it and plugging it back into the joystick. Check the prongs on the cable and make sure their not broke. You can also try flipping the switch that is located down by the charger under the chair. The cable is around $200 and the joystick is quite a bit.

SOURCE: Chair won't go. Lights flash

Check your freewheel levers. They must be engaged or the lights will flash and the chair will be inoperable. These levers are under the shroud behind drive wheels. (One on each side)

Have a golden compass power chair replace battery's & are fully charged have 2 amber lights flashing

Hello Michael. Fully-charged batteries should indicate a green light on the battery charger and should illuminate all the five LEDs on the Joystick. The batteries should take about 8 hours to be fully charged. If you charged them for less hours there is a possibility they were not fully charged. If you feel you charged them for enough time and the battery charger showed a green light, that is frustrating, but there is a chance either the charger or the batteries are faulty. Substituting both the charger and batteries or either of them may be the best solution.

When plugged into charger both lights show green but chair not fully charged

First measure the voltage of the batteries at the charging socket of the joystick.

I have replaced joystick, batteries, motors and the chair still losing lights will go about 1/4 mile and loses all green lights with in 1/2 mile loses all the yellow lights, drove on 1 flashing light for...

Janice check your charger it could not be charging the batteries. Now always charge your batteries overnight while you sleep When you get up lights on the charger should be red and green if they are red and yellow then the charger hasn't fully charged the batteries and overnight should be more than enough time to charge fully. This could indicate a bad battery remember new doesn't always mean good. Like they say always charge before use and this goes for new batteries too you need to charge new batteries nightly for 10-15 days before they start operating at 100%. If when you plug in the charger before bed and the lights are red and green then there is a problem with the charger or the batteries or the charger circuit Hope this helps you

Do not know if chair is taking a charge lights just keep moving across armrest .how do u tell when fully charged?

hi let me see if i can help ,

When the lights go back and forth on your joystick that means the chair knows its pluged in .Now the chair itself has a built in charger that is mounted on the back of your chair .The back of the chair ,there is a opening a cutout in the frame .when you plug in your chair there will be a red light and a yellow ,yellow means the chair is charging, wait till it turns green, this means fully charged. When you plug in the chair youll see the lights through that hole.Look for the lights.

I recommend my customers to leave there chair charging over night look at the light it will be green when you turn the chair on the joystick should show fully charge.

Good luck hope i was of some help.

Hello, After fully charging my mother's Jazzy power chair overnight, the rear battery indicator/pointer shows zero meaning it's fully charged. I leave it unplugged all day and then by 5pm when I check...

Sorry but it sounds like weak batteries. I would replace both batteries and after installation fully charge before use. Then ask Mom to use the chair more each day so you can charge them overnight each day for the next 20 days. It will break in the batteries and get them operating at 100%. If you can get her to use it more and charge it overnite and always put it up at full charge the batteries should last 2-3 years Hope this helps

Battery discharge quickly, I have replaced new batteries and module control and problem still exist.

Don your charger is probably not charging the batteries. When you charge your chair overnite the charger should have a red and green light showing charge complete. When you first plug it in the lights should be red and yellow. If you are getting a red and green light when you first plug it in then there is a problem with the charger or with the charging circuit to the batteries. You should have a charger port on the battery box try plugging the charger into that port and see if you can get the batteries charged. When you do you should have a red and yellow light on the charger changing to red and green when fully charged. Hope this helps

What is the proper way to charge the Pronto M51

Eduardo After using your chair and the battery level lights are down with yellow or red lights showing just plug the chair into the wall socket and let er rip. Now really after using your chair during the day and you are ready for bed just plug in the charger and let it charge over night. In the morning unplug the charger and you should be set for the day. If you don't use the chair everyday always put it up with a full charge and about once a week plug it in and let it charge overnight. Never leave the chair plugged in all the time and never leave it for more that 24 hours. The charger has two lights on it one red and one yellow or green that are hard to see because they are under the rear cover. When the chair is fully charged the yellow light turns green and you can unplug the charger and you should have a full charge. Hope this helps you

Usually the red light is on to indacate the batteries are being charged, now the green is the only light that is on

The green light on the charger usually indicates that the batteries are fully charged and you are ready to go. Does the controller show the batteries are fully charged? Can you operate the power wheel chair for several hours? If so, you are good to go.
When you connect the charger, if the light goes to red to green within a few minutes and the battery power does not last more than 1-2 hours or less, it may indicate that that the batteries will not take a charge anymore and need to be replaced.
