you will need to look at the control module under the driver dash for the model number of the remote start. Visit directed, com and find the manual for your unit. follow steps for changing whatever features you like. ..or visit a local aftermarket auto shop who sells remote starters. any decent shop should be able to get it done in a half hour or so.
They are not very difficult to install. Just follow the directions and you should have a wiring diagram for the vehicle your working on, just makes the install faster.( use good name brand and proper wiring techniques)
Try disconnecting the positive and touch it to body ground for 30 secs. Re-attach.Then use the blade key in the drivers door to unlock door(turn 2 or 3 times in the unlock direction.)
Sorry, but you question is bit incomplete. Still if you have problem with car lock system then you can follow the manual guide of the website locksmith in san francisco or can contact them to fix your issue.
Hi! If your vehicle has an anti-theft system that uses a special key, then your remote starter needs to be set up properly for your articular make and model vehicle. There are a number of ways that remote starters deal with anti-theft systems, so you'll need to check the installation instructions to be sure.
Check your manual, when it honks or blinks at you it is telling you what is wrong (see my tip in my profile) . It usually will tell you what is wrong and is usually an easy fix.
It can be installed, but is not recommended. If the car was left in gear and the auto start activated the car will lurch forward. A friend of mine, who is an installer, had his WRX jump a curb in a parking lot in land in a ditch. BTW, he "never left his car in gear". It only takes once.
It sounds like the system needs tach sensor reprogramming. The remote start system may have a tachometer sensing mode where the system "knows" that the car is running and to stop cranking the starter when when the engine is running. Generally when the vehicles battery is disconnected the system "forgets" the setting of the tachometer at idle which is programmed at the time if installation. Take it to a remote start installation store for this or get a hold of a maual for your system and shouldnt be too dificult to program.
