Frost build up in the freezer section of my side by side Kenmore

I have a Kenmore Coldspot Side by Side Refrigerator , Model No. 106.54563300. The freezer side is building up frost in the inside. I already turned down the setting to the lowest level at 1 and still there is a frost build up occuring. The frost build up are on the side and upper walls, ice maker and dispenser areas, ice bins and there is an ice buildup under the bottom food tray also.

What seems to be the problem? Does the evaporator coil or condenser needs cleaning may be? I see dust, some lind dirt builup behind the kick panel in front of the fridge.

You may want to check the ice dispenser door if you have them. It not be shutting all the way. My ice maker was frosting up and clogging because the flap was broke and letting air into the freezer.

I have a kenmore coldspot model 70167998 - loud vibration in freezer; i'm thinking maybe it's the frost free fan going out? Is this a fire danger?

no theres not any fire danger,it may just be the fan blades hitting ice build up due to defrost issues you will need to remove the rear inner wall in the freezer to see exactly what it is

Kenmore coldspot(side-by-side) Model:106.56612500,Type2555A;MFG date:Aug.2006. Freezer and Refrigerator Control both at factory preset position(center). Problem:Left frozen section seems colder than usual...

The defrost system is not working. Ours had a sensor go bad that clips on the coils inside the freezer and can tell when their is front. When it is not working the frost just keeps building up because it down not call for the defrost heating wire to ever come on. It could also be that the wire is bad or that the control panel is not responding the the sensor. It sounds liek the issue is no defrost cycle though.

I HAVE A KENMORE COLDSPOT 106.56542400 MODEL.THE REFRIGERATOR DOES NOT GET COLD AND BOTTOM FREEZOR SECTION FROSTS UP.IF I UNPLUG REFRIGERATOR FOR A DAY,EVERYTHING WORKS OK FOR ABOUT 2 WEEKS AND THEN...

We had the same thing and the problem was the frost sensor on the coils inside the freezer. It is behind the metal cover that gets all frosted up. When it works it senses frost on the coil and tells the control panel to activate the defrost wire which heats up the space melting any frost and then shuts off.

Our issue was the frost sensor but it could also be the heating element or the control panel. Anything in that little system.

Kenmore coldspot side by side refrigerator - freezer fine. other

Good to see you put your model number down correctly. Do the lights come on inside when you open door? I noticed your refrigerator has a control board inside the fresh food section behind the control panel I want you to unplug the refrigerator and examine that board for burn marks or loose solder connections on both Sides. Then let me know what you find. Thanks, Sea breeze My email is [email protected] Web Site http://servicepartstec.blogspot.com/ Part Number for Control board is 8201528
