Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ85U makes buzzing noise on 4th day of use

Today is the fourth day I have used my Panasonic Viera TH-50PZ85U and it started buzzing from the lower rear part of the set. It is intermitent, but is very distracting. It does it in the first minute of power-on and goes on for 30-45 seconds, stops and comes back about every 5-7 minutes. So, what's the buzz and how do I fix it? Thx for the help!

Hello,
Your power supply board is dead, u know basic electronics' and soldering? Most of the times, the power supply board just have dead leakages gases capacitors. These capacitors always bulges up on it top,or puff up on it top.Replaced these gases leakages capacitors will get your TV power stable, and work again.Or tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement. Hoping that this will help to solve the problem....

Hi there I have had the Tv for 5 years and it's

I would first check any of your inputs (i.e. cable, satellite, DVD player, ect...). If you hear this buzzing sound regardless of what input you are using, then it has to be the TV. If it's the TV causing it, audio is produced on the main board or A board named by Panasonic. It is the board that has the A/V inputs on it (cable, HDMI, component). This model has 2 different main boards it could use either TNPH0721ACS or TNPH0721ATS. As a TV repair technician, I often use Tri-State Module and would recommend them for parts. If you don't know which board you need, their customer service is helpful. I hope that helps.

Following a audible pop TH 50PZ85U will not power on.

Most common thing to happen is a capacitor went bad on one of the circuit boards making the loud POP sound. Odds are it's on the Power Supply Board if the TV isn't showing power at all. The picture below what a bad capacitor looks like.

They range from different sizes and color. Swollen, deformed, and raised top is the thing to look for.

Solder in a new capacitor on the board or replace the whole circuit board.
