You have to move your finger around a bit while pushing to find the actual spot that turns it on... hold your finger down until it lights up ... the lights will spell, "Hi"

The new Rader Unites that law inforcement use has a built-in Blocker, Unlike the old units you could pick up the signal . This keeps people from knowing when they are used.
This could be a factory safety that the hammer and trigger do not move while in the cocked position. The barrel may be locking down purposely. Look near the spring or in the path of the barrel where it folds back up and look for a release button. What do you see?
Sounds like a poor connection in the control or a faulty control module, I would return it as faulty for a new one. They seal those units up pretty good so we can't fiddle with them. Everyone gets a lemon sometimes.
i'me asumeing the batt is ok....turn on lights, do they dim when you try to start engine? if not .bad selonoid on new starter..was it rebuilt? it happens. Billy Starr
that model was last sold before 1999. It still detects all the same radar but it will not detect POP radar. For more info on POP radar check out Whistler's radar FAQ page at www.whistlergroup.com

Nothing wrongs, in my early days I was a police man for a few years before I got married, and wife made me retire as of fear ofvsomething happening. The only time your radar will trigger around a police car, is if he has it on, button depressed or constantly on. Most the time they won't have it on like me unless I am sitting looking for violators. WHY? Two reason, wheres down battery on radar gun and annoying beeps on the radar gun for the officer. A lot of times we are just sitting in a traffic area doing reports, and look up and then for odvious speeder, just by us being parked on the road doing nothing, makes are presence known, and automatically has traffic slow down.
