I have a 13500 Dometic roof mounted ducted AC on my motorhome. I have changed the Board twice and the thermostat once and the same problem occures. When you first put the AC on it works fine until it goes to recycle and it kicks off and will not come back on until it deceides to. It might be a hour or several hours. Then when it kicks off it does the same thing. We have checked everything and nothing on the unit is getting hot or is burned. Please help.

Who installed new unit? Is this a ducted system? Why was it replaced, what was wrong with old unit?

Sounds like a bad contactor. The contactor will be near the compressor on the roof.

I prefer the Coleman But the amount of extra cooling you will get by stepping up to a 15K unit will probability not be worth the added cost

My Unit is only about 5 years old; but it's working great now. I spoke to a man at an RV service department, he suggest replacing the thermostate and Jay box, which is the box inside my roof unit, accessable when I remove the filter. When I replaced the thermostate nothing changed, but the Jay box did the trick. The Jay Box came with a new thermostate anyway, and cost around $80. Good Luck

I have a dometic 13500 BTU Roof mount a/c. It is set up with the duo-therm analog thermostat. The system cools fine. The problem is that the a/c gets down to the right temp, then it turns off like it should but turns right back on within a few seconds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a dometic duo-therm. The unit works great and fan blows strong and both high and low work., but air is coming out of the ceiling unit rather than the duct work. The bedroom unit works OK, but the air is strong out of one duct, and not much comes out of the others. The front unit only has air coming out on the A/C unit and none out of the ducts.
