SOURCE: reddy heater won't stay on

Just go to Tate Heater repair shop for heaters and replace the Thermal Switch. The part number for the Switch is 113848-01. See if they have one if not they can order it for you. I just fix mine and it is now it purs like a kitten. Just the way the manufacture intended. I went also went down the road of buying a new thermocouple to find out that I did not need it. My advice change the less expencive Thermal Switch first in your part replacement list.

Clean your nozzel, check your fuel & air lines, you may need to replace Spark plug and filters. You can go to the manufacturers website at www.desatech.com and they offer service manuals. I hope this helps you!

WONT FIRE

have you cleaned the air inlets? I have a older (1970's) reddy heater, occasionally it starts getting smokey or not firing at all. I open up where the air filter is and clean out the chamber with carb cleaner; gets the old girl firing up nice again.
