This is a little tip for anyone having problems with their Sony Ericsson C905 where they cant hear anything whilst on the phone.
This is only if you cant hear anything through the earpiece, however it works normally when you have it on Loudspeaker...
There is a fault with the C905 ribbon flex, this flex connects to the phones, keypad and then runs under the screen and has pads for the phones earpiece to connect to.
There are 3 methods of solving the problem
1, If your phone is under warranty have an authorised Sony Ericsson service centre repair your phone for you, this is FREE and is the best option.
2, You can buy a replacement ribbon, for these handsets and change it yourself. It looks like the image in the following link

3, If you are able to solder and feel confident you can try the following fix, you need to make a jumper from the right solder pad to the leg on the transistor just below, use low res wire and be very carefull...
Remember trying 2 or 3 on your handset, if your phone is still under warranty will end up voiding your warranty so only do this if you dont have a warranty...

same as!! does everyone use a bluetooth hands free device with theirs? also on other websites I've read you can press the c button... havn't tried it though
i have the same problem what can i do do i have to take it bak to the contactors and how long will it take to be fixed if any 1 nows.
Ok i have this problem now. Before the mainspeaker when dialing did not work. So i went down to the shop and turned it into service. I got this crappy loan mobile which was concidering **** since i payed so much for this one. It took me 3 weeks to repair it. All the bugs were solved and the speaker did work. But the speaker was too low and the sound was on a very low level, like something was blocking it. Somehow you couldnt hear quite well when speaking with others, also it was some sort of an ecco when talking. So now i have to repair this phone again... its my 2nd attemp now, and its gonna be 6 weeks without the phone considering i take the first repair with it... Damn it..
Also got the same problem ...am using a headset
