Sony DVP-NC85H Multi-disc DVD Player Logo

What format of video file can the DVP-NC85H read?

I'd like to watch some videos, from my hard drive, on my tv. I've already tried converting files into .avi and .mp4 formats, but they didn't work; the DVP-NC85H would not read them. So, what does work? Help!

SOURCE: Sony CD/DVD Player DVP-NS50P not playing my avi files DVD+RW

You need to convert avi files to dvd format before burning, otherwise the player won't recognize them. Google "avi to dvd" and you'll find a number of free or pay programs that will do the conversion for you.

SOURCE: DivX certified player cannot read DivX files on DVD+R

Is there a Divx logo on the player? Does this particular DVD player capable of reading DVD+R disks?

If you used the Divx converter program, there is a way to create a DVD in Divx format with menus. Did you use that particular program? If you didn't, you may have the DVD in a data format and the player can't read it that way.

How do I play movies from my external hard drive connected by USB to my MX android TV box.?

The TV should support the file system to read the directory structure of the Hard disk and also the the file type to read the video file. Try mpeg / jpeg file on a thumb drive on the same USB port.

Can't play avi videos usb

Hello to all. Have twin boys staying over the holidays and they wished to view movies when they went to bed. have Polaroid 32" P32LED12 fitted to their bedroom. The tv is ok for playing dvd through it but when on using the usb drive with movies on it, it came up Invalid or Unsupported file. Have tried different movies with different formats and came up with nothing to play. So got myseld a video converter program: Wondershare video converter ultimate. On looking at the booklet from Polaroid, it says MPEG1.2, but although on converting the film to this format, the film broke up. So I took an AVI trailer and converted the trailer to all the formats on the converter and stuck this on the USB and stuck it into the tv. Out of all of them, i found that the converter format was VOB DVD FORMAT in this coverter. The film did not break up and the sound great. The film sizie was a bit smaller in frame size but this can be increased. What the converter showed after the conversion was: DVD-Video/ Format: VOB. Video Codec: MPEG-2/ Audio Codec: MPEG-2 audio. There is a settings on this converter at the lower right corner, but you can fiddle with this yourself. But to finish with, I have tried most of the films with different formats and could not get them to work on this tv, so get yourself a video program converter, put in laptop or pc and convert film to VOB. Hope this helps as there is nothing in any help on google for this tv.

Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine thetype of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI andWMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatiblevideo file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format thatyour MP3 player uses. Problem open up my maxtor one touch 500gb to retieve photos

first, recover your files. You will need to use hard drive deleted photo recovery program like Asoftech Photo Recovery, you can follow this video to recover deleted photo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sNxApz_PBW8

I've had to use it many times in the past but in this case you need to plug that drive into another system as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files.

After you get back your files, you can then format the drive and reinstall your system.
