The washing machine won't spin or drain any water. I came home to am error code 5E. I switched it back on and it just makes a rattling noise.
5E is a Drain Error Code.
This can be caused by a clogged filter in the washing machine or a blocked drain line in your house. There can be a few other reasons, but these are the most likely.
If you would like to try to repair it yourself, then follow these instructions:
UNPLUG the washing machine. Repeat, UNPLUG the washing machine!!!
Check the filter in the back of the washing machine on the bottom right-hand corner. Place a shallow dish under the filter. Loosen the filter to drain out the water. Remove the filter and clean it out. Look at where you removed the filter and you will see the water pump impeller. Make sure it can move and isn't locked up. Remove any debris from the impeller.
Replace the filter, and plug in the machine. Try a short wash cycle.
Check for leaks around the filter.

use a putty knife to remove the front panel , you can remove it by pushing the putty knife into the 2 black tabs between the top and front panel. from there you can get to the drain pump . inspect by taking the hoses off the pump and remove debris. If nothing found replace the pump. hope this helps, let me know
