Have a Ricoh Aficio Cl 4000DN and have replaced the CPU Drum

The SC 305 on a Ricoh SP 420DN is related to a AC bias charge error for the magenta color.
The machine sence there is a charge current that is less then
200 ?A is detected.

There are four reasons why this may happen.
• Defective charge roller
• Defective connectors
• Disconnected harness
• Defective high voltage power board 1

Follow this procedure, and see if that does the job.
1. Check the connectors.
2. Replace the PCU for magenta.
3. Replace the drum positioning plate.

the life of the pcu(s) are 15k each(blk & col) .
the machine will work but copy quality will reduce and the error will be there.
replacing the cartridge has nothing to do with this error.

The SC 441 is a color pcu motor lock. One of the waste toner augers is clogged with waste toner not letting the drum turn. The only real fix is to replace the color pcu unit. If you could get the auger and drum out it might be possible to free it up, but you will probably damage the drum in the process.

Possible causes Low toner density in the Y toner,Toner supply Y mechanism problem( not supplying enough toner),Laser exposure problem, image transfer problem. My suggestion would be to ensure you have toner in the cartridge( but by this time it has depleted the developer), and you will need to replace the development unit and possibly the drum Unit. My best guess would be the development Unit.
