I used the shank of a 2mm drill pushed in about 18mm, and easily pulled out the plug. Required a firm push but no damage. I suspect that a 1/16 inch (1.5 mm) drill shank would be easier, but 2mm works.

Having done it the hard way (!) it is dead easy. All you need is a small screwdriver or similar, approx 2mm by 1mm in cross section. Looking from outside the mixer, where the power lead enters the main body, between the rectangular lead casing and the socket it enters, there is a small rectangular cutout (top right). Push your screwdriver in around 15mm, and then withdraw the lead housing with it - the screwdriver pushes the latch aside, hence you need to remove both as one! With luck, and a wiggle or two, that should be it.

Thanks for these instructions, but I still managed to break it. The ideal tool would be a 2x1,5mm rectangular rod pushed in 15-19mm. Otherwise a screwdriver and try to push the screwdriver tip to the centre of the plug (horizontal plane) to push the 11mm long black plastic arm out of the way of the solid lug on the plug. Image to help. What a terrible design

Cant releace the dough hook from my kenwood chef. what can i do?

hi the lock nut on the shaft may have been loose allowing the shaft to screw into the dough hook you hve to unscrew the hook out of the shaft then unwind the nut down so you can release the shaft. other problems can occur if the retaining clip has unseated and jammed itself into the planet hub. this is more difficult and a kenwood agent would be consulted see www.kenwood.co.uk for nearest agent.

I need a splashguard for standmixer rival select model KM210

I need one too so if you find a fit, be sure to post it. I thought I was buying a replacement. Unfortunately it is a DeLonghi product made for round bowls and has a flap on the side, not the front, so it won't fit the bowl.

Does anyone know the model number of a stainless steel bowl to fit the Kenwood Chef KM300/

The model number doesn't really exist other than the fact that the stainless steel bowl is available for just about every Chef made. My own KM300 has a stainless steel bowl for example that came as standard - it however is the same bowl you can order from Kenwood or EBay under the A701/A901 model - all bowls from Kenwood can be fitted on the Chef model with the exception of the Major model which is a larger and taller machine.
