Roper washing machine runs through all cycles but clothes are still dripping when spin cycle is finished. I manually start a second spin and that helps, but don't want to do this every time.

I've listened and it switches from rinse to spin and looks like it drains, but when clothes are picked up, they're dripping. It's about 10 years old.

You have to be sure its agitating first. if its not agitating and just sounds like it is you need to replace the motor coupler, a very easy and cheap fix but if its agitating and just not spinning then it will most likely need a new transmission which is still not very expensive or hard to install for your model...if you need further help please don't hesitate to email me at [email protected]

When I open it during spin cyce, it's spinning and stops when lid is opened. How do you check if it's agitating?

  • Anonymous Mar 10, 2013

Does it do this on every load? even empty cycles? and the way to check if its agitating is to run it on a extra small load with no clothes and listen for loud splashing, if it is splashing its most likely the fins of the agitator going around so in that case it would be working. it may also be spinning to slow which is probably an issue with the transmission but you must also be sure that it is spinning and not just draining during the whole spin cycle.

SOURCE: dripping wet clothes

will be an UNBalanced load, maybe there was not enough clothes in the load so in that case the drum would not be able to distribute the load evenly so gave up on the spin, hence wet stuff!

SOURCE: ROPER 4 CYCLE 2 SPEED DOES NOT AGITATE OR SPIN

Disconnect power should be a motor coupling broken you take off the cabinet, two phillips head screws left console bottom on back and right console bottom left on back and pull toward you and rollback the console two funny looking brass colored springs insert screwdriver into spring and push back toward back of washer and it will jump out. disconnect the lid swithch and lean cabinet out and looking down inside at front bottom slide out 2 inches to remove cabinet. then two black clips that hold pump on and then two screws and same except larger clips that hold motor on remove wiring harness and lift motor out and youwill see coupling either broken there or on transmission replace with part number 285852A from 1-877-262-1479 to put back on use hammer and 3/8 or 7/16 socket and extension and hit litely untillyou push metal center onto motor shaft then repeat for transmission side put rubber coupling on transmission side and line up motor and doall in reverse to put back together. tip on cabinet clips set in place and push down with heel of hand to snap into place

SOURCE: Kenmore 90 tub spins excessively clockwise during wash cycle.

Improperly installed thrust bearing kit. Too many washers cause the basket to spin during agitation.

I have had my Cabrio washer a little over a year. No it isn't suppose to do that. There is a setting for spinning high medium and low spin. Maybe you can change the spin setting manually. See if that works The washer is computer operated so the spinning cycle must be out on your normal cycle. I did myself a favor and I keep all clothes on towels and sheets. I set the temp for the water on what I would like manually. The washer fills up with more water and seems to clean the clothes better and My washer does the same thing from time to time about not spinning. Just remember you can set all wash manually with water temp and spin cycle. Is your washer still under warrenty?

The spin cycle will not spin properly, the clothes at the bottom are still dripping wet and I do not overfill the washer, and its on all cycles

Your drain pump is not draining properly. Remove from washer and inspect the pump section. Check for blockages or obstruction in the pipes.

Bosch classixx 1000 washing machine - stops on spin

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
