Newly purchased philips gogear (frozen)

I have recently purchased a philips gogear form harvey normans electrical Ashburton NewZealand and it seems to continuosly freeze up on me!

Ive reset it over and over again, and even tried to let the battery die out but still no response. It seem to always go no further than the intro of GoGear then freezes on the title.

Im thinking of taking it in to get repair or even exchange to an ipod unless you can help?

It would be much appreciated thanks!

Go to Philips website and update the firmware to resolve most freezing issues (as long as they are not hardware-related).

My philips gogear vibe is frozen and wont move from screen its on and wont power down, I have pluged it in to see if that will work and nothing, what do I do?

Try the repair function of the Songbird software and restore VIBE to the factory settings. Before you proceed, bach up your files stored on VIBE if possible because the following procedure erases all files you have on the player:
1: Launch the Philips Songbird on the PC
2: In the Philips Songbird menu bar (at the top), click on the Tools pull-down menu and then select Repair My VIBE.
3: Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the repair procedure.

You have purchased a licence, the physical cd is incidental. Contact mcafee you can probably download the software for free. Also write a letter of complaint to Harvey Norman

Also you dont need to keep a receipt once you have registered. As the warranty will be validated by the Date of purchase listed in your registration form. You can confirm this by contacting Philips support.
