SOURCE: 46" Samsung LCD, no sound output whatsoever

First try hooking up a different source such as a DVD player or Cable box and see if you have audio. If you do then check the audio output from the computer. If you do not have audio then make sure the tv audio is up half way and turn off the set. When you do this you should hear the down chime provided you have the chime turned "on". If you do not hear the down or up chime then the sudio circuits on the Main bd are bad and the Main bd will have to be replaced. A quick way to check to see if the audio circuits are working is to listen for the up or down chime when turning on of off the set coming from the tv speakers speakers.

SOURCE: Ln40a5op3p Samsung LCD 40

Hi my name is Eric,
I hope I can help you with your issue ,
Do you have a cable box?
First thing i think of is you need to reboot the cable box by unplugging it from AC power, then reconnect it. (then reboot the Tv same way if haven't done that yet either) then its time to try it with AV cables
to make sure the cable box is not bad. using the red/white and yellow cables
then testing with another source like a DVD player, common sense will tell you if its the cable box or the TV.
If you've already done this or don't have a cable box (sorry),

The only thing in the TV that can cause you to lose audio only on TV is the SAP mode.

Hope this helps, if it has solved your issue please click accept
But if you have more questions please respond and I will reply asap
Thanks
Eric

Problem with Samsung led tv with no sound or picture.

The first things to try are of course the simplest. If you have a picture on your TV but no sound, the problem might be as simple as having the “Mute” button the remote having been accidentally pressed. Grab your remote and unmute the TV by pressing the “Mute” button again.
Next, check what the input setting is on your Samsung TV by hitting “Source” on the remote and cycling through the available inputs. If your Samsung TV’s source is set to a component that you don’t have set up, then there won’t be any audio data coming in to be played.
Do you ever use a headset on your TV? Gamers, in particular, might be using a wired set of headphones plugged into an audio out jack, and if the headphones are plugged in, then any audio is being routed to that equipment, and you might not hear the sound playing if you aren’t wearing the headset. Assuming you never use a headset on your TV, check the headset port for any debris. Your TV may pick up something in the port which won’t allow the audio to route properly.
Finally if this does not work, you can try the old school way...unplug the your TV for about an minute.

Samsung hg40ee470sk secret menu?

Samsung Smart TV hidden secret menu allows you to do a factory reset and also connect some Bluetooth devices which you were unable to do before. Be careful while fiddling with these options as I cannot take any guarantee if you spoil the TV settings. The Samsung Smart TV I used in the video is Samsung F4500. The secret menu will not open with a smart remote. You may buy or borrow the original normal rectangular Samsung remote to access the secret menu but I am not so sure that will work.
Here are all methods to access the secret menu of different Samsung smart TV:
Method 1

Put the TV on standby and then push in series these buttons on the remote: 'info, menu, mute, power' the TV will then turn itself on and display a menu.
Method 2

Turn the power off. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 8, 2, Power in sequence.
Method 3

With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 4

With the TV in standby, press the {SLEEP} {P.STD} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 5

With the TV in standby, press the {DISPLAY} {MENU} {MUTE} {POWER} on the remote.
Method 6

With the TV on standby. On the remote, press Mute followed by 1, 1, 9, Enter in sequence.

How do I fix my Samsung 40 LED TV that has sound but no picture?

Here is what to check when your TV is turned on, power light is ON, but no picture is seen or sound is heard:

1 - Be sure the component you are using (Xbox, Cable, SAT, ROKU) is turned ON.
2 - Check to be sure all cable and cords are securely connected to the TV inputs and component outputs.
3 - Make sure you are on the correct input as some TV's will show a black screen if there is nothing connected to that input.
4 - Unplug the input you are trying to use from the TV (such as an HDMI Cable) and plug it back in.
5 - Check for signs of damage on all cords and cables from the TV to all components.
6 - Make sure the TV is not in ENERGY SAVE MODE, press the button on the remote control to go back to normal mode.
7 - Unplug the TV for 10 minutes to see if there was a temporary one time issue with the TV.
8 - Disconnect the TV from power for 2 minutes, then when plugging it back in PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE TV FOR 10 to 20 SECONDS to try and force the TV to reset.
9 - If after checking all these different issues, you may have a Faulty Power Supply Board, A Bad Capacitor on the Power Supply Board, Loose Wire Harness, or Loose Ribbon Connector in the TV itself.
10 - Most likely when a TV has the power light ON but NO PICTURE and NO SOUND, it is the Power Supply Board that has failed.

BTW, here are solutions for you to play iTunes movies on Samsung smart TV
