I can't get my Comcast remote control to sync up with this sylvania 32in HD tv. I tried every code in the Comcast DVR manual under sylvania tv's and nothing, I would love a fix to this problem.

It sounds like the box and TV are out of sync. If the DVR is shut off, turn off the TV manually (NOT with the remote.) The next time you hit the power on the remote, both units should power up together. Make sure the remote is pointed at both device at the same time and slowly sweep the remote to hit both of them while holding the power button. I have always used the cable/DVR remote to control my devices and left the TV remote in a basket for setup stuff only on the TV.

I have the same issue. I've tried every version of Comcast box there is available. Nothing. Next I'm trying taping off the Sylvania IR and running the volume through an old receiver I have. That is, of course, that there isn't a solution posted here first. Will report back later.

The answer depends whether its a Comcast DVR Remote or a regular one. The DVR codes are 4 digit -- the others are 5 digit. I got 0060 to work for my DVR remote.

The code for mine is 0842. It's a 32" Magnavox MF338B LCD HDTV being used with a Comcast Digital DVR.
