SOURCE: Dishes still dirty

hit the cancel drain cycle. Often times the dishwasher drain hose is not installed properly. It must be routed up as high as the dishwasher as soon as it comes out of the unit. May be also that there was a little regular soap or something that made it sudds up. vegetable oil poured into the dw tub will remove the sudds. After running vegetable oil for about 5 minutes, pour 2 cups of vinegar in to the tub and run it on the hottest longest cycle with no dishes in it. This will clean the residue out and what ever "gunk" may be in the internal parts. Use Only powder detergent. No gel and No tabs. These 2 cause a build-up over a period of time of use and reduce the performance of your machine.

The problem is hard water. Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com and get their new product. It filters the water and takes out the hard minerals that cause spots and clog dishwashers. It is very affordable and has a money back guarantee.

SOURCE: We have a Bosch SHU3307UC dishwasher. Two friends

Put dirty stuff in will eventually keep a tech like me very busy. We love to come and charge you alot for cleaning your dishwasher. Remember the Maytag commercials where they put a cake in it? Still got the dishes clean but before long it will cost you big time. Just run everything under the tap. Pot and pans should be lightly washed also. Watch how you place the dishes. Most dishwashers spray up from the bottom. Block it, and the spray will not reach the top.

SOURCE: hi ,my hotpoint aquarius dishwasher

If you have hard water, it is likely that the sprayer in the bottom of the dishwasher has become clogged with hard water deposits. This may be the case, even with soft water.

On most models, the sprayer looks like a propellor, and can be removed by carefully unscrewing the fastener at the top and carefully removing the sprayer. If you have a digital camera, I recommend taking pictures at each disassembly step, so you know how to put things back together (in the reverse order that they were removed). It should not be too difficult to remove it, but you may have to gently work with the fastener at the top to get it to budge.

You will need to clean all the spray holes and ensure that none are clogged. I used an ice pick and toothpicks to clean out the holes recently on my dishwasher. (We have hard water).

You may need to soak the sprayer in vinegar overnight if you're not able to completely clean out all the holes.

Good luck!

SOURCE: Whirlpool Gold dishwasher not cleaning

I had a similar problem with my last two dishwashers, with food still left on the dishes at the end of the cycle. What a nightmare. The most recent dishwasher is new, now the problem is solved. Here's what the manufacturer told me. Pour white vinegar (approximately 2 cups) into the dishwasher and run through the cycle. Buy some Cascade Complete and only use this type of soap for the dishwasher. Make sure you run a cup or two of the white vinegar through the dishwasher cycle once a week. My dishes are now clean and clear!!

After running a full cycle the dishes have a film left on them. Sometimes soap is not rinsred off the dishes. Tried different soaps for dish washers. It seems the only thing to take the film off of the...

Film on dishes post cycle is caused by 2 things.... Poor water flow during the wash / rinse cycle.... i.e clogged sump inlets or restricted drains. Clean the drain hose first. Start at the cink connection and clean EVERY connection and in-line componenet from the port hole at the sink connection all the way back to the drain hise connection port at the dishwasher.

If you still have dirty dishes post cycle after drain cleaning... then remove the lower wash arm support and clean the accumulator / sump area thoroughly. See this link: (items 1 and 4) http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=5140844&diagram_id=28222738#d28222738

Test again.

If the problem persists you will have to gain access to the pump impeller. Inspect the impeller, and pump housing for damage. UNDER the dishwasher. Item 22 of the above link.

This should get your diswasher performing properly again.

I used this model number as a reference: GU2400XTPB1

Maytag dishwasher not draining fully

Try cleaning out the air gap.  The air gap is not part of the machine, and is located on your sink. If this becomes clogged, it may cause the machine to not drain properly.  Also, I know you said you checked the drain hose and cleaned as far as the filter and chopper blade, but have you checked the lower filter?  There is a filter located underneath the machine that should periodically be cleaned.  To check this, you need to access the machine from underneath by removing the bottom vanity cover. Hope that one of these helps!

Ge quiet power 3 troubleshooting

First clean the sprayer arm of all debris. In the back of most dishwashers there is a screen on the bottom that is often full of junk, debris and other stuff from dishes not being scraped off.

Clean that screeen off.

Run vinegar (1 cup) for a full cycle to help break down the lime and other build ups.

Check sprayer arm for debris and other objects. carefully pick it out with a small needle or sometimes even a nail works.

Try running dishes again to see if this helps.
