Purchase some contact cleaner either online or at an electronics store. Remove the back from the watch and then drip the contact cleaner onto the contact side of the set buttons inside the watch. Then depress the set buttons repeatedly to work in the solution. You may have to repeat a few times. By cleaning the contacts it is likely the set buttons will work again.
many ani digi watches have to batteries , one large lithium to run the digital and then a smaller 377 silver oxide battery to run the analogue movement.
the smaller battery is usually directly below the lager battery in a small cut out in the printed circuit board.
mcdevito75 here, You can visit the Repair Service section here at fixya, bottom of this page once at repair and service type in watches. Depending on the band you may have to replace it with a smaller one to fit your wrist.
Your true actual time second hand is on one of your subdials. That big "second" hand is really your chronograph seconds timer. It should start and stop when you depress one of the plungers/ buttons on the side of your watch.
Again, that big hand does not need to be turning all the time (or ever if you never use your advanced stopwatch/ chronograph). The true seconds hand is very small on one of the smaller dials.
Good luck, I hope that's all it is
You need to expose this watch to sunlight for about 8 hours to let it recharge it's solar cell. Make sure that sunlight is shining directly on the face and not just "kind of" shining on the face. I put it in a window ledge where the sun beats down to make sure it gets the most sunlight possible.
Repeat this for a few days to make sure it's fully charged.
Check your users manual if your watch have two batteries. If yes, you need to replace digital part battery.
If your watch has only one battery, your digital screen or plate is defective. Bring it back to the retailer and ask to replace for the decently working watch.
But first of all try to fiddle with all pushbattons- sometimes it helps.
