My electric baseboard heater is too hot! It is 95 degrees in my bathroom and it is set on low! It is too hot to touch the top of the heater. Is it a possible fire hazard? I tried to turn it below low just before off and it is still way to hot to touch. I am a fire fighter so this really concerns me. Please can someone help? Thanks :)

Lower thetermostatv temprature to 66. it's set to 77 right now and doesn't go lower

Question is not clear.
Add a comment and say what you want to do.

You have 240Volt electric water heater.
Lower thermostat is set as low as it can go at 77.
But you want water temperature set to 66?
First thing to remember is that water heater thermostat settings are approximate since they read temperatures through the steel tank wall.
Second thing is that thermostats for electric water heater are generic, and are not made for lower temperature range settings. This is probably since most people complain that water is not hot enough.
I'm looking at a generic lower thermostat from Lowes right now. The low temperature setting is 90 degrees F.
Looking at some older thermostats from a drawer right now: one does not have a lower temperature mark, the other is a Reliance with low temp of 95, the old craftmaster goes down to 80.
So I don't even have a thermostat that goes as low as the one you have, except for gas water heater thermostats that traditionally can be set to 50 degrees for vacation mode to prevent freezing.
More thermostats can be seen on following link:

I need to wire a remote thermostat to my electric wall heater in the bathroom. Not sure if I run the wire from the panel to the heater first or to the remote thermostat then the heater.

Run the wire to the thermostat then to the heater

#1 you have to calculate the heatloss of your rooms, that will tell you ur wattage require. Oil filled or not,it's just as dry. As far as ur load to panel breakers, a rule of thumb is approx 3600 watts for 20 amps, using a number 12 wire. But ur wall heaterS should suffice

How far off the floor do i install hot water baseboard heaters

When you install the baseboard heater make sure the bottom part which is the all thing must sit over the floor and touch the tiles or carpet and use 2 or 3 wood screw against the wall. That is it and do not put any kind of paper or cotton or material things above the cover. Beside that you are ok and it is not like an electric wall heater.

Electric baseboard heat not getting hot

Is your fuse box and main power source large enough to handle the full load if all are turned on at the same time? Are you uses two pole breakers? you might only be feeding with 110 volt. This would prevent them from getting very hot.

Electric baseboard heater heats up...but no longer heats room..

Some baseboard heaters have an adjustable damper panel inside. Make sure this didn't accidentally get closed. If that is not the problem, perhaps the heater is clogged with dust or lint, or a rug has been pushed up against the bottom air inlet. You may have to pull the cover off of the heater to clean it out.

Have an oil fired boiler for baseboard heat and it also has a tankless heater for domestic hot water. No heat being called for only getting hot water for use. Boiler goes to 210 degrees before it knocks...

These boilers usually have multiple controls. The control that would take it out of the circuit at 210 degrees is a safety.

You should definitely have a professional take a look at this unit before you continue using it.
