CONTINUAL DISCONNECTION OF WIRELESS CONNECTION
There are a few things that can cause you to lose wireless connection with your wireless router. 1. Weak signal strength, check the signal strength on your wireless card. If it is weak move the wireless router away from brick or concrete walls and if possible locate the wireless router higher up. 2. Have you secured your wireless router from people near your from unauthorized access? i.e. change the default password, setup encryption use WPA2 or WPA, change the default SSID, and turn off SSID broadcast, and for added protection, enable MAC address filtering which allows only the MAC address/es of your wireless card/s to connect to your wireless router. 3. You could be getting interference from electrical sources such as air conditioners, arc welders, washing machines etc. If so, the power supply to the wireless routers and computers etc should be connected to a surge protection power board, better still connect your computer equipment to an UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply). 4. Check the channels of the wireless routers and access points in your area and change the broadcast channel on your wireless router to an unused channel or one that is currently used but has the weakest signal strength. This will minimize interference with your wireless router from other wireless routers and access points in your area.

Things That Affect Wireless Router Signals
1. Many wireless routers are using the same wireless channel. Many manufacturers choose channel 6 as the default. Change to another channel. 2. Analogue video senders used to send audio and video to other TVs in the home. 3. Microwave ovens emit interference in the 2.4GHz band. 4. Wireless speakers and console controllers can cause interference with the wireless router. 5. Bluetooth devices, newer Bluetooth devices can jump to different frequencies if there is a connection problem. 6. Power cables located near the wireless router can cause dropouts and speed reduction. 7. Fish tanks and mirrors will cause massive Wi-Fi shadow on the other side of the tank from the wireless router. 8. Depending upon the location of large mirrors will reflect wireless signal away your computer. 9. Building materials will block wireless signals such as plasterboards with metal foil, reinforced concrete walls and floors. Also objects near the wireless router such as metal filing cabinets and other electrical appliances. 10. Blinking Christmas lights can reduce Wi-Fi performance by 25% when it is close to the wireless router.

My wireless ADSL2+ Router is having a problem, The ADSL Blink is going off within a few minutes of Internet use, Could you suggest me a solution?

Please check the following

1) secure cable between modem and router. it must not be loose.
2) secure cable between modem and phone jack. it must not be loose.
3) modem and router must not be near to any electromagnetic devices such as halogen lamps, computer speakers
4) cables must not be intersecting to electrical cable which sometimes cause static signals that interrupts internet signals going to modem or router

Just got off the phone with internet service and they are not the problem... when i reconnect the cord back into the router i loose internet access- whats wrong?

If you loose your internet connection when you connect the modem to the router and are OK when it is directly connected to the modem then your router sounds like it had died.

Some times routers that have been hard booted too many times die a short death or some manufacturers routers only last 1-2 years like D-Link,Netgear & Belkin

I loose internet connection with HAMA Wireless LAN Router

Try changing the channel that the router uses. This will be a setting in the GUI. I have a Netgear wireless router and if I let the router choose the channel to use, it always chooses the same channel that my cordless phone uses so whenever I use the cordless phone, I get kicked off. You can also try updating the firmware on the router but I'd bet trying a different channel(s) will work.

Absolutely. Wireless LAN is on 2.4GHZ. You will want to get a phone at a different frequency.

Trying to set up wireless router to satellite phone/internet

i've never worked with a 7740, but i've installed hundreds of hn7000's and hn9000's. the issue is usually that the router and modem are defaulting to the same ip address. if your router supports has a web-based config utility (as most do) try cat-5'ing to the router with your computer while the router is NOT connected to the modem. log into the router and set it's ip address to something OTHER THAN 192.168.0.1 (i use 192.168.1.1 for my customers) reboot the router and reconnect it to the modem. the ip conflict should now be resolved.
