Playstation 3 error code 80710103

i think personally that this is a problem with there new Generate or Manage Device Setup Passwords. they never should have added this to ps3 and until they either fix this or remove it we will be facing this problem.

PS - hey guys stop putting different error codes for this. this guy is asking for the fix to 80710103 not 80710102 or 8001050F.

I have the 1661-2b. Its asking for a security code? Help!

Before you can get to the settings to change the security code settings you're asking how to get passed the screen asking for the code right. Usually the security code is 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and when the keys lock, that security code is usually the last 4 digits of your phone number.

I can't find the password to set up my TV guardian. When I try to turn it on, it asks me for a password and I never set one up since I bought it. Where do I find this password?

Re-posting the solution (I marked it as a clarification request-my mistake).

Hope this helps!

According to the user manual, the password is set to 0000 by default (all zeroes). You may change the password under Parental settings. Here's an added note: If you forget the password... In ?NO DISC? mode, enter [+10], [+10], [+10], [+10], even if 4 digits ?XXXX? appears. It returns to ?0000? (Initial setting). See the left column to set the password and parental lock level again.

My wireless light will not come on even if i turn the switch on... why is that?

I experienced this same problem on a friend's AT&T 2WIRE 2701HG-B router. The primary computer used WinXP,sp3; I added a laptop, WinXP,sp3 and a Macbook Pro w/ Leo OS v11, successfully.

How to resolve the issue (rather, how I resolved this issue):

From the desktop computer, connected to 2WIRE:

1) Open a browser and type http://gateway.2wire.net or http://192.168.1.254. This site will automatically detect your settings and provide the necessary info., required to set up your wireless network.

NOTE: NTWK information/settings for THIS router can NOT be retrieved via traditional methods. Ignore all other information that assigns a name to your network and/or password. Follow only this wizard, for success in setting up your wireless connection.

2) Verify that your Firewall and System settings are correct and up-to-date. If not, update your software by pressing the link on the right.

3) Click the Home Networking tab (at top of page):

Locate @ the right of your screen, "Status at a Glance".
Under "Home Network", verify:
"Ethernet = x"; (where x = $1)
"Wireless = 0" (ZERO IS OKAY!)

("Zero" will change to "1, 2, 3, etc.," upon successful connection of ea. new wireless device(s) added to the NTWK).

* Once a new wireless device is initially and successfully connected to the NTWK, the LCD wireless indicator of the router will illuminate green.

4) Under "Wireless Settings":

NOTE, the network name. This is the name (of Network) that you will use to connect your wireless device(s).

The default password is the 10-digit number [in brackets] displayed on the sticker, located on the bottom of the router (directly above the UPC code, below the SN).

5) Click "Edit Settings":

In the DEVICE YOU ARE ADDING, click or type in the name of NTWK, as stated under "Wireless Settings". Next, type in the 64-bit WEP password (10-digit number displayed on the sticker, located on the bottom of the 2WIRE router).

6) Click "Verify your Home Network".

Verify the wireless device you added is displayed and has been added to the NTWK.
The Ethernet setting should still remain = 1 (or however many devices are connected to the INET via wire) and Wireless should = 1 (or more, if +1 device has been added).
NOW, the wireless LED shall be glowing the same pretty green, as all the other indicators on the router! You are now connected. Congratulations!

Cannot setup home wireless network between computers

Hi!
Since all computers are online, you do not need to change any setting on the router for the computers to share file or resources.

If you are using Windows XP - try this link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040

For Vista:

http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/e2e03106-2546-4085-bd07-6c3ac95003111033.mspx

I hope that helps!

Good luck and have a nice say!
