its a apple product. you have enough memory in your iphone4. so if you want to attach a external memory card slot then you should go to a apple phone service centre. they will solve your problem.
sounds to me that the memory your putting slot b is damaged if the amount of memory doesn't increase when you insert it. have you tried swapping them around or using another ram stick.
I too always buy matching ram, ie 2 or 4 sticks exactly the same, improves stability if nothing else...
The fault is either from the phone or the phone's memory card slot.
Test the memory card on another phone or any other device that uses memory card. If the memor card doesn't work, then it means the memory card is not good. But if the memory card works, it means fault is from the phone.
Get a phone screw driver, disassemble the phone, clean the memory car slot with a tooth brush. This will clear off all particles that maybe preventing the memory card from contacting the phone properly.
The cleaning the memory card slot doesn't help, it means the memory card slot of the phone is defective. It takes only a repairman to fix this fault for you.
If the problem is consistent in other windows besides strictly the keyboard it is possible that the capacitive touch panel is defective or has been damaged.
Hold both the home key and the button on top of the iPhone until you see the power button. This should shut the phone down. If this doesn't work you will probably have to bring your phone to the Apple Store.
Re-seat the memory modules. If that doesn't work try swapping the modules to see if one is defective. If both modules work in slot A then you have a damaged slot B memory slot and the motherboard needs to be replaced.
The best possible advice I can give you on this kind of problem is this.
Try and see if you can get the phone replaced on a warranty claim. There isn't any reason the sim card contacts should have broken that easily. That too me would be a legitimate warranty claim.
If that doesn't work, and if your willing to get the phone serviced. You can find either a store to replace the part for you which would cost quite a bit.
Or you can do it yourself. If you chose to do it yourself. Let me know, and I'll get you instructions on how to do it properly and a link to a site that sells iPhone 4 parts.
Well, as far as I know, there's no memory card slot on Iphone4. Because the memory card of iphone4 is actually built in. But other than iphone, you can find memory card slots.
Ok try this for you to determine if your memory card is defective or not, try to insert your card to a device that support the type of memory card you have. Then if it still doesn't work i assume your memory card is defective. But if the memory will work try to insert other memory card on your camera for you to determine if your camera memory slot has a problem.

Type in and dial the following numbers. In case the first doesn't work, try the succeeding suggestions and so on and so forth:
1. 00000(4 or 5 or even 8 depending on your phone model. 2. 11111, 22222, 33333, etc. 3. If it does not work still, try this one: 12345, 09876, etc. 4. In some cases, the last 4 or 5 numbers of your SIM is the number code. 5. If it doesn't work still, contact your cellphone technician.
