Precision measurement of lubricant is completely unnecessary. Simply apply a sufficient amount of lubricant to all parts to partially saturate all pivots and bearings without applying so much as to make a mess.

you need to know where oil is coming from. pump or motor? both will use normal motor oil

Most small engines take about a quart.
You'll find "small engine oil" at any auto parts store or store that sells small gas powered devices.

Your Honda would be a four stroke engine, so your fuel would be straight gas, you will notice on the base of the engine there is a location to put oil, a 4 stroke engine is lubricated by the oil in the base of the crankcase. On a two-stroke engine.oil fuel mixture lubricates the crank so it has no provision to add oil to the engine.

Most pressure washers have ball lock type fittings on the hose connections. What happens is the little steel balls get a bit of corrosion and do not lock the male fitting properly with the female coupling. Load up the fitting with some Oil or WD 40. Then connect and disconnect the fitting several times to losen up the balls and springs. Should the spring in the coupling break you will get the exact symptom your describing.

If the OIL / WD 40 does not do the trick then you may have to change out the quick disconnect coupling.

could be bad piston rings, or if its a 2 stroke engine (probably not) then you could have too much oil in the oil/gas mixture. maybe even too much oil in the crankcase.
